Ruth is an orange goods diesel who works on Pinewood Island.
Personality
Ruth is a heavy-duty freight switcher that lives on Pinewood Island; though sometimes, when goods need to be brought over when the other engines are busy, she'll pop right over Touchstone Viaduct to take care of it! Ruth is a lot slower and doesn't quite know how to make friends like other engines (spending most of her working days in a storage yard), but is very strong, always sticks to a task and likes to learn more about other engines and railways.
Technical Details
Basis
Ruth is based on a BR Class 08. Over seventy members of this class survive today in preservation, while around 100 remain in service on the national rail network. They were in fact the most successful shunting engines in the world, with 996 of them built. Diesel, Arry, Bert, Splatter and Dodge are also based on this class. Unlike her brothers however, she is built with a knuckle coupler and a bell. She also lacks outside wheel frames.

Ruth is painted yellow-orange with rouge and dark blue stripes and the Pinewood Island logo.

- Ruth's model is a modification of the 2014 Go Go Thomas Diesel model.
- Ruth's bell sound originated from Canadian Pacific Railway #3081.
- Her first rendering didn't include side rods, but were then later added as of January of 2019.
