Toots

Toots is an elderly tender engine who lives at Kahlville Junction.

Personality

An elderly steamer who was restored in Crotoonia after a nasty accident many years ago, Toots is able to handle any sort of work.... if it doesn't ache her in any way. Her accident in 1937 left her a little worn, so she tries to go for work that doesn't require heavy lifting! Despite this though, she is still willing to help out and can often be seen hauling or travelling around doing odd jobs around the railway!

Technical Details

Basis

Toots appears to be of a freelance design, although her design could easily be inspired by various American steam locomotives. She also vaguely resembles Central Pacific Railroad's No. 3, C. P. Huntington, albeit as a tender engine.

Toots is painted in a two-tone red livery with white lettering and grey wheels, a grey whistle and a gold bell.

• Toots originated in the 1937 Looney Toons cartoon 'Porky's Railroad', with some differences.
  • The obvious lack of a face.
  • Her original number being 13½.
  • New bell sound effect.
  • In the 1992 Computer Colorized version of the Porky's Railroad, Toots was colored dark green and dark bronze.

^[1]Old fashioned, and not as large as the other engines, Toots was very worn when she first arrived on Crotoonia. Her parts were battered, and she was destined for the scrap heap. But after an overhaul at Celgreb Railworks, Toots was soon running again like she used to years ago! She'll work with any job you give the old girl (as long as it won't wear out her wheels!), and will finish it either by herself, or with the help of her friends. She's nostalgic about the glory days of steam, and enjoys a good conversation with Olwin!
