Olwin is a tenderless streamlined engine from Chuggington.

Personality

Olwin is a kind but fussy streamlined engine. With a habit of keeping her paintwork pristine and buffers buffed to the best, she's a hard worker who sometimes has trouble getting to do dirty work, like collecting cars of sooty rock or coal from the quarries. She likes to keep right on schedule and does her best not to be late! Despite her fastidious ways, she's a very motherly and caring engine whose always ready to be there is anyone needs a buffer to cry on.

Technical Details

Basis

Olwin is similar to a tenderless LNER Class A4 locomotive. Spencer from Sodor and Mallard, holder of the world speed record for steam locomotives, are other members of this class. An additional five members of this class survive in preservation.

Livery

Olwin is painted dark green with cyan lining on her streamlining and cab, and an orange cab roof and funnel. Her wheels are also gray.

• Her initial design in the series differs from that in Chuggington:
  • She has a wall behind her cab
  • She has coal bunkers on the front of her cab instead of a roof that slides open to collect through
  • She has nameplates
  • She noticeably grows in length
• In 2023, Olwin received a new model that was created by TipperTopHat. The model is entirely based on her oirignal appearance in Chuggington, thus removing her nameplate and coal bunkers.
• Olwin and Spencer are confirmed to be related, With Olwin being a modified design of the A4 class with spencer stating in Megs Headliner "I don't think Gresley put a bunker and a saddle tank on a Tender Engine Design!"
