Skarloey

Skarloey is a narrow gauge saddle tank engine from The Island of Sodor.

Personality

Skarloey is the eldest of the Skarloey Railway engines, which (of course) puts him in charge whenever the engines visit Crotoonia to work, serving as a guide to the younger engines and helping things keep at a smooth pace. A very calm-natured and mature little engine, Skarloey likes to keep things slow and steady so he can appreciate the best in life.

Technical Details

Basis

Skarloey is based on the Talyllyn Railway's Talyllyn, a Fletcher Jennings Class C 0-4-2ST built in 1864. In fiction, Talyllyn is Skarloey's twin.

Livery

Skarloey is painted red with white lining. He has red and gold name and number plates on the sides of his saddle tank and coal bunkers respectively.

• Skarloey has had four models throughout the series
  • The first model was made by D51P and was used in the early videos. This appearance is based on his model appearance in Thomas and Friends.
  • The second model was made by Tonypilot and was used from We Make A Team Together to Casey Jr's Mail Run. This appearance is based on his CGI appearance in Thomas and Friends.
  • The third model was made by SodorP and was used from Conifton Valley to Brewster's Ballast, going back to being based on his model.
  • The fourth and current model was made by TN11GWR and was first used in Rishaira Rescue, going back to being based on his CGI appearance, more specifically the twenty-second season and onward.

• Technically, Skarloey is the first character to appear in a Crotoonia video, alongside Shelbert, Megara, Hatsune Miku, and Meiko.
