Chapter 253 is the two hundred fifty third chapter of Weak Hero. It is the 126th chapter of the third season.
Synopsis
A flashback shows Stephen telling Gray that although the latter is always telling him that he doesn’t try his very best, Stephen says it’s true for Gray too. He knows when Gray has a real motivation, he’ll be able to achieve everything. The flashback ends.
No one can be objective of the fear of Donald Na and the belief that Ben will carry the weight. Gray has watched, observed, and analyzed. He thinks people don’t lose because they don’t know their opponents; it’s because they mistakenly believe that they know everything about them. There have been many posts on the Shuttle Patch about Donald parrying with his left arm whenever his opponent punches.
When Donald attempts to punch Gray, Gray dodges and kicks the same ankle that Changhui has kicked previously and Donald has injured when landing after Gray flipped him. Donald wonders how someone so small and weak is still fighting against him. Gray’s struggle and what he has been fighting against all this time hasn’t been Donald; Gray has fought only for his survival.
Donald becomes increasingly frustrated and loudly shouts, which causes everyone to flinch. He punches Gray and sends him to the ground and Gray slumps against the HI YEOUIDO sign. Gray realizes that there is no more room to dodge. Donald purposely leaves an opening on his right on purpose to set up an unavoidable hit. Donald delivers a direct blow to Gray’s face when he gets back up, sending him back down to the ground and against the sign.
Donald says none of it matters. Whatever happened in the past doesn’t matter in the present. He recalls memories of his mother being hospitalized, of being forced to resort to using cardboard to try to keep warm, of being jealous of his classmates eating food, and of his mother’s death. He says the present situation can’t be ignored. He reminds Gray that he had his chance and rejected it, but to look at what happened.
Gray says Donald didn’t knock him down and that he lured him there on purpose. He activates Eugene’s repaired prototype switch, blinding everyone within the area with the lights of the HI YEOUIDO sign. It is revealed that on the medical records Donald had at Yeouido Hospital that Donald has photosensitivity. Donald huddles instinctively to block blows from his right, but his left arm has taken so many blows that it didn’t come up to protect his chin. Gray is able to land a direct blow with his elbow to Donald’s face.
