Jimmy Bae (배지훈, Bae Jihun; "Ji-hun Bae") is a supporting antagonist of Weak Hero. He is a first year at Yoosun High School, where he served as the local Union head. He serves as the secondary antagonist of the Eunjang/Yoosun Arc, due to Phillip Kim’s deception where he confronted Eunjang’s Ben Park and lost to him. As a result, was forced to answer to Jake Ji. Jake, however, just told Jimmy to continue what he was doing.
Appearance
Jimmy has grey eyes, with unkempt, light orange hair. His bangs fall over the right side of his face. He is similar to Ben Park in height and stature, both being relatively tall and fit.
He is almost always seen wearing the Yoosun uniform with black supportive elbow sleeves. In his initial appearances, he is also shown with red headphones. Flashbacks suggest that he wears athletic clothing (e.g. Under Armor) casually.
Personality
Jimmy often takes pride in beating others who are weaker than him. He talks a lot of trash to rile up his target and is a dirty fighter, often sneaking in a first hit then knocking his opponent down. Jimmy can get especially cocky, as shown in his fights against Ben Park,[1][2] and his fight against Wolf Keum.[3][4][5] Despite his losses, he always keeps his ego against those who he does not see as above him.
Jimmy is later shown to have an honorable side to him. He genuinely cares about his best friend, Jack Kang. In the past, he was willing to sacrifice his pride to save Jack from a group of bullies by teaming up with the union.
History
During Jimmy's Gilshin Middle School days, Jimmy was a bully ruling on par with Jack Kang. One of Jack's friends, Minjae, made fun of Jimmy's drawing resulting in Jimmy beating him up. Minjae got Jack to challenge Jimmy to a fight without telling Jack that he was at fault. The two fought at an almost even fight, with Jimmy barely winning. Jimmy, however, developed a respect for Jack after this and the two started to hang out.
One day, he was hanging out with Jack and Hayden Ma and the three were approached by Hayong Jeong, the head of Manwol's second squad. Hayong saw that Gilshin Middle School wasn't on the watchlist for Union-affiliated schools and was going to let Jimmy, Jack, and Hayden go, but Jimmy still decided to fight. This ended with Jimmy, Jack, and Hayden's lost.
A few days later, the Yeongdeungpo Union was hosting a meeting. Jimmy decided to check it out and brought Jack along with him to Haedong Building. He considered the Union to be full of posers. As they left, they overheard Donald speaking to Kingsley, saying that Domyeong and Gilshin can stay because "You need mutts to clean up shit."
Later on, Jimmy confronted Hayong when he was alone and beat him to a pulp. As a result, Hayong ordered a manhunt on Jimmy and Jack. One of the members of Squad 2 mentions that Jack walks around Dorim every day, so they ambushed Jack and beat him up. When Jimmy called Jack, they answered his phone and told Jimmy to come to Dorim Construction Site.
While Jimmy was rushing to Dorim Construction Site, he bumped into one of Jack's friends, Goseon Pyo. Goseon managed to convince Jimmy that he'd lose if he went to the fight without any help. Jimmy swallowed his pride and went to Donald Na for help. Jimmy, Phillip Kim, Myles Joo, and Forrest Lee arrived at the construction site and defeated Manwol's Squad 2.
At some point, there was beef that started between Eunjang and Gilshin that later went into Eunjang and Yoosun. He got Alex Go alone in a corner in a construction area with the help of his minions (including Jack Kang), and made it appear that Eunjang instigated the fight so that it would serve to justify Jimmy's actions.[6] Jimmy beat Alex down, despite Alex's efforts to fight back and defend himself. Eventually, Ben Park ran to Alex's location and fought against Jimmy.[7] The two were eventually interrupted midway in their fight, when Donald Na showed up with the entire Union behind him.[7][2] Donald stepped in and called Jimmy a weakling, before moving on to challenge Ben. Ben was helpless against Donald Na, missing all of his attacks. Jimmy was shocked at the display of Donald's fighting prowess and with this event fueling his fear of Donald.[8]
Plot
Eunjang/Yoosun Arc
Jimmy is introduced as a player in Phillip Kim's scheme to take over Eunjang High. Aware of Jimmy's one-sided rivalry with Ben Park and Jimmy's hotheaded nature, Phillip lies about overhearing Ben Park scheming to take down Jimmy.[9] This news enrages Jimmy and convinces him to take action against Ben Park.
First, Jimmy orders Jack Kang to take a group of Yoosun students with him to bring Ben to him from a popular billiards bar frequented by Eunjang students. This plan is interrupted with a fight between Gray and Harper Ha (Helmet). When Ben, Alex Go, and Gerard Jin arrive at the scene, the Yoosun students leave without fulfilling their goal.
Eventually, Phillip meets with Jimmy in person at the billiards bar to discuss details about taking down Ben. Phillip agrees to pay Jimmy additional money for Jimmy's direct support.[10] Shortly after, Jimmy beats up Alex Go (who arrives at the bar with his friends to hang out) as a way to try and provoke Ben into seeking him out. [10][11] When this doesn't work, Jimmy and his subordinates camp around Eunjang and convince a wandering student to find Ben and bring him to them.[12]
The unfortunate student finds Ben on the rooftop. Notified of the situation, Ben and Alex rush to the school furnace to face Jimmy and his gang. The situation eventually culminates into a full-on battle between the two high schools.[13][14] Gray (with Eugene) and Gerard become involved as well.
Jimmy initially has the upper hand against Ben, but he begins to lose steam as the two exchange continuous blows, resulting in his lost.[15] Ben knocks Jimmy out cold with one final punch, punctuating Yoosun's loss against Eunjang.
This event is not taken to the level of the Union and Donald Na by Jimmy. [1] Rather, a disgruntled and abandoned Helmet informs Donald Na of the news. [16]
Hyeongshin Arc
As punishment for Jimmy's loss and general lack of leadership, Donald reassigns management of commissions from Yoosun to Jake Ji of Daehyeon. The reassignment of roles is not officiated by Jake, who informs the humiliated Jimmy afterwards to continue carrying on as before. [17]

Jack Kang
Jack has been Jimmy's best friend since middle school.
Donald Na
Jimmy is afraid of Donald Na and does not dare to disobey him or speak up against him. During the assembly,[18][17] Jimmy tried to speak up about his loss of authority to Jake Ji but Donald Na quickly silenced him.[17] However, Jimmy also compares himself to Donald frequently, hoping that he will surpass him one day. This showing that Jimmy wants to emulate or even exceed Donald's strength. This was further strengthened when Jimmy witnessed firsthand how Donald Na single-handedly took down Ben Park, the diesel engine of Eunjang Middle School.[8][19]
Jake Ji
Since Jake is a newer member of the Union compared to Jimmy or Forrest, Jimmy sees Jake as untrustworthy and having an ulterior motive. Especially when Jake told Jimmy that he could stay leader of Yoosun High School.[17] Though, Jimmy keeps his distance from Jake and respects Jake's position. It is probable that Jimmy has never seen Jake fight firsthand, as Jimmy only compares himself to Donald or Ben as a testament of his own strength.
Wolf Keum
Wolf Keum and Jimmy Bae don't particularly like each other.[20] Ever since Wolf's loss to the White Mamba, Jimmy thought of Wolf as a weak pushover for losing against a rookie and a nobody. Wolf has repeatedly threatened Jimmy on multiple occasions, but Jimmy taunts Wolf each time, showing that Jimmy was on his final straws with the Union and the members. Jimmy doesn't harbor much respect for Wolf as he did in the past. Shortly after their fight, Jimmy realizes Wolf's strength and backs off, while Wolf tends to his own business.[5]
Ben Park
The two have had bad blood ever since their middle school days.[9] The two dislike each other so much to where Jimmy made a showdown in Eunjang after he was told that Ben Park was spreading rumors about him.[13] These were damaging Jimmy's ego, as the rumors were about how Ben would have won their fight if Donald Na hadn't intervened.[21] In reality, Ben Park wanted nothing to do with the Union but was forced back into it because of Jimmy.
Abilities
Physical
While he is the lowest ranking head of the Union, Jimmy is nevertheless a formidable fighter.
Jimmy's style of fighting is straightforward and accurate, focusing on landing hits and avoiding feints entirely. He is strong enough to send people flying with a single strike, and has a moderate degree of endurance.
Mental
Jimmy often trash talks in his fights, either goading his opponents or making them doubt themselves. He also isn't above fighting dirty, as seen in his fights with Ben and Wolf, luring his opponents in with banter or inanimate objects and then sucker-punching his enemy. He only seems to do attempt this tactic when facing opponents with strength relative to his own.

- Jimmy takes pride in everything he does, including his artwork, as demonstrated when he beat up Minjae because he mocked Jimmy's hand-drawn self portrait. [22]
