Chapter 49 is the forty ninth chapter of Weak Hero.
Synopsis
After beating Helmet, Rowan goes back to the cram school to get his wallet.
Teddy is walking home in the rain and thinks everything has been boring lately. He finds a kitten under a cardboard shelter. Teddy gives the kitten some milk and wonders where the kitten's mom is. He says that it is going to rain hard all night in the cardboard shelter would be enough. Teddy tucks the kitten into his jacket and decides to bring him home.
Eugene overhears the entire thing and was the one who made the cardboard shelter. Teddy feels embarrassed and starts to walk away. Eugene calls out to him and tells him that since he is taking the kitten home, he can take the supplies that he had bought for the kitten. Teddy grabs the supplies and leaves.
At school or the next day Ben, Alex, and Gerard are fooling around. Ben cuts out a paper N and puts it on the back of Gerard's head, and makes him resemble the Naver symbol. Eugene sees then and thinks that the atmosphere at school is heavy, but those three are the type to not worry about things for too long and it's not like Hyeongshin directly attacked them. In reality, Alex and Gerard are worried but were influenced by Ben. Eugene thinks he should just focus on studying.
Eugene sees Teddy and wants to ask about the kitten, but he's worried that he'll get mad. Teddy whispers to Eugene that the kitten is safe and healthy. He says the kitten is named Co and loves Teddy very much. Eugene tells Teddy that his aunt runs a vet in Singil so if Co ever gets sick, he can bring Co there. Teddy thinks that since he is caring for Co with so much affection that Co will never get sick.
Evan Yoo and Manshik Yi are in Sinpung. Evan reminds Manshik about the time he slapped Gray but Manshik remembers how Evan got his face smashed in by a book right after. Even brings up that Colton got beaten up by Gray with a belt at the underpass.
Forrest slings his arms over their shoulders and asks why they're walking around so carefree. He beats up Evan and asks why weak Eunjang students are laughing like idiots in Hyeongshin territory.
