Dean Kwon (권혁진; Kwon Hyeokjin; "Hyukjin Kwon" ) is a student at Daehyeon High School, and a member of the Yeongdeungpo Union under his best friend Jake Ji's leadership. He is notoriously known as the Number Two of Daehyeon, being only behind Jake Ji. He is the secondary antagonist of the Daehyeon Arc.
Appearance
Dean is a darker skinned individual, having a somewhat similar skin complexion to Ben Park. Dean also tends to wear trendy clothing, such as his numerous hoodies and shirts that he is shown wearing. Dean also wears a cap, similar to Myles Joo, and has his hair tied into either a ponytail or a manbun. Dean has a fairly big frame, being similar in size to Ben Park. He has a rose tattoo on his neck. He has a rose tattoo on the left side of his neck.
Personality
Dean has a somewhat light and joking personality, which compliments with Jake very well. Dean, much like Jake, is also an anime fan and takes things very jokingly with Union matters. He is extremely loyal to his friends, stating in Episode 102, "If you fight till death, so will I. Don't even think about leaving me behind, you asshole." when confronting Jake about his decision to go after the Manwol by himself. He cares very deeply for his friends and even understands the white lies Jake sometimes says.
Dean however is of the “punch first, ask questions later” mentality. Dean is quick to jump to conclusions and attack people before analyzing the situation. This mentality has caused him more harm than good and has gotten him into pointless fights more often than not. Dean is also very arrogant and usually doesn't take anyone he fights seriously, not even bothering to analyze his opponents before fighting them, as Dean only cares about the fight itself rather than his opponent. He is also quick to anger and prone to violence such as when he believed his friend Timothy was being ganged up on, or when he was losing against Gray Yeon during their fight.
History
Dean Kwon went to the same middle school as Jake Ji, and was the second most powerful at his school (still is carrying on in high school). However, when tragedy struck close to home after Jake's brother Kenny Ji got severely beaten up by Manwol, Jake, along with Dean, joined the Union for Kenny's sake and to take down Manwol. Ever since, they've stayed in the Union, not caring about affairs with other high schools.
Plot
Daehyeon Arc
Dean isn't very prominent early on in the plot until much later, when Alex is being confrontational about Timothy tailing Ben Park's gang. There was a short skirmish where Dean was able to land a successful kick on Alex, but was quickly retaliated by Ben. Both sides were relatively unharmed, but could've quickly escalated had Jake not stepped in, stating that they have very important issues.
Much later on, shortly after Jake took down Gerard, Dean and the rest of Jake's friends (Eunchan, Timothy, and Grape) bumped into the White Mamba and his crew. The two groups fight and the result was an easy victory for Eunjang. Dean fights Gray, but was outmatched and outmaneuvered for the entire duration of the fight.
Relationships
Jake Ji
Dean is extremely close to Jake. They hang out together, read manga, play video games, and play soccer together. When Jake goes after Manwol, Dean tells him that he'll go with him. Vice versa, Jake cares very deeply about Dean.
Kenny Ji
Although no interaction between Dean and Kenny are shown onscreen, Dean mentions to Jake that he considers Kenny to be like an older brother to him too and is willing to fight Manwol to avenge him.
Timothy Park

Abilities
Physical
Being one of the top ten fighters in the Shuttle Patch Rankings, Dean Kwon is considered the second strongest student in Daehyeon High School just below Jake Ji (The Number 2 of the Shuttle Patch Rankings before being demoted to Number 3). His fighting style mostly revolves around using fast kicks against his opponents. He also has incredible speed that he uses for more powerful kicks. As pointed out by Gray Yeon, Dean has no physical weaknesses.
Dean Kwon relatively uses Push Kicks more often than any other kicks. High Roundhouse Kicks are his main knockout move.
Mental
While he may not have any physical weaknesses, he does have mental weaknesses such as his hot temper and arrogance against opponents he underestimates. During his fight against Gray, Dean did not take Gray seriously and began fighting recklessly when Gray had the upper hand.
