Chapter 12 is the twelfth chapter of the first season of Weak Hero.
Synopsis
After Jimmy Bae punches the Eunjang student to the floor, the others recognize him and hastily leave. Soon after, Phillip Kim arrives at the billiards hall, and discusses his plans with Jimmy over a game of pool.
Both boys have inner monologues, elaborating on their motivations: Phillip wants Ben Park out of the picture as soon as possible so he can take the Number One spot at Eunjang High and earn a spot in the Yeongdeungpo Union; Jimmy knows that Phillip's reputation is built on manipulation rather than might, but acknowledges his intelligence and ultimately feels he has nothing to lose. The two agree on the next stage of Phillip's plan, with Jimmy demanding upfront payment as a condition.
Soon after, the boys of Class 1-8, sans Ben, arrive at the billiards hall, where they run into Jimmy and Phillip. When they attempt to avoid conflict and leave, Jimmy pulls Alex Go back and proceeds to pummel him. Alex, remembering the fight from the year before and the sheer gap between his ability and Jimmy's, refuses to fight back in an effort to keep Ben from getting involved. Phillip and Jimmy interpret his submission as cowardice, with Jimmy taunting his prey as he beats him bloody.
