Medusa is a complete story and part of the Shanazar story arc. The story follows Sonic and Amy Rose as they continue to be stuck on the microscopic planet, whilst being chased by mercenaries Death-Trap. Resting in an ancient town, Sonic and Amy have to face Medusa, a mythical beast with snakes for hair and eyes that can turn onlookers into stone. Sonic eventually defeats her by whipping up a sandstorm so she can't see.
