Safety Net

Safety Net is a Skill in the console/PC version of Sonic Generations, used by Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic. It returns in Sonic Dream Team as a Power that can be used by all characters.

When equipped, this Skill grants free Rings upon restarting an Act.

Overview

When using Safety Net in Sonic Generations, the player will restart an Act with ten Rings already in their possession after losing a life. In Sonic Dream Team, the player instead restarts with half the amount of rings they had before resetting.

Sonic Generations

To unlock Safety Net in Sonic Generations, the player can buy it at the Skill Shop from the beginning of the game for 1000 Shop Points. It can be equipped to both Classic and Modern Sonic and costs 40 Skill Points to be equipped.

Sonic Dream Team

To unlock Safety Net in Sonic Dream Team, the player can purchase it from the Powers menu for 50 Blue Coins, and it requires the player to have reached Tier 2 in Tails' Challenges before being available.
