Skill Shop

The Skill Shop is a shopping stand that appears in the console/PC version Sonic Generations. It is located in White Space and is run by Omochao. At this shop, the player can buy items such as extra Lives, Skills (such as the Shield), and customize sets of Skills that can be equipped to Sonic the Hedgehog.

There is a large number of Skills that can be unlocked for purchase in the Skill Shop by completing Challenge Acts, while some can be found available to purchase from the beginning. Skills bought from the Skill Shop require Shop Points to buy, which the player can gain by clearing stages or challenges. The higher the rank, the more Shop Points the player will be awarded. Other Skills can be unlocked and used immediately after collecting all five Red Star Rings in an Act. Skills with a blue background can only be equipped by Modern Sonic, while ones with a yellow background can be equipped only by Classic Sonic. Skills with green backgrounds may be equipped by either.

Trivia

• The two party hats seen at the front of the shop were worn by Cream and Charmy during Sonic's birthday party in the beginning of the game, before the Time Eater appeared.
  • A totem pole from Green Hill can be also seen behind the two party hats.
• Wentos' Chao puppet can be seen in the upper-left corner of the shop.
• The music used for the skill shop is a remix of the 2 Player VS results theme from Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
