The Mammoth Streamer216 is a twin-engine turboprop plane featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update.
Influence
The aircraft resembles a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter.
Design
The plane has a long fuselage with conventional doors for the cockpit, numerous square windows and a sliding door on the left. The wings house the taxi lights beside the engines, the outer ailerons and the inner airbrakes, while the tail/empennage has two flashing red beacons on the tail. The underside has a fixed tricycle undercarriage.
The cockpit of the aircraft has a sectioned instrument panel and additional switches above the seats, while the rear section has an open door leading to the cockpit and two long benches (although only two passengers sit on the left).
The aircraft's fuselage, wings, tail and landing gear struts are painted with the primary color, while the air data probes around the fuselage, the frame above the rear left door and the overstitches over the instrument panel and around the seats are painted with the secondary color. It uses a set of industrial wheels derived from trucks such as the Benson, the Mule and the Phantom.
The vehicle can be equipped with dual machine guns on the nose, which are similar to those from the Tula, as well as bombs.
Performance
Vehicle
The aircraft possess similar characteristics to planes such as the Cuban 800 and the Mogul, having a relatively low top speed and decent handling, although the large wingspan can be problematic on areas with tall obstacles. However, true to its real-life inspiration, the plane has STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) capabilities, requiring relatively short runways in comparison to similarly-sized aircraft. The tricycle undercarriage also provides good stability when taxiing around uneven areas and good ground clearance, enough to keep the propellers safe from certain obstacles. Care should be taken upon exiting from the active aircraft, as there is barely distance between the cockpit doors and the propellers.
The aircraft is powered by two turboprop engines, given the exhausts on either side of the compartment. However, it uses the same sound from piston-powered aircraft such as the Mammatus and the Velum.
Weaponry
Machine Gun: The aircraft can be equipped with dual front-mounted machine guns operated by the pilot, which function similarly to the ones from aircraft such as the Tula and the Mogul, causing high damage over unarmored vehicles and destroying them in about five seconds. This can be dangerous against most aircraft, as they are less resistant to bullets in general. They also have a maximum range of 250 meters, similar to aircraft like the LF-22 Starling and the V-65 Molotok.
- The vehicle has the option for installing bombs, providing heavy firepower against ground targets. There are four different Bomb choices: Explosive, Incendiary, Gas and Cluster;
- The Explosive option has high damage over targets from all ranges, meaning any target caught in the "edges" of the blast radius receive the same damage as in the "center".
- The Incendiary option creates a trail of fire similar to the Molotov Cocktail, burning the targets for a constant damage. Although the bombs are powerful at the center, it causes less damage on the "edges".
- The Gas option causes a noxious effect on players and NPCs on impact, similar to the Tear Gas. It has a slightly larger blast radius than the standard bomb, but is unable to damage vehicles. The gas lasts for around 25 seconds.
- The Cluster option creates a smaller explosion than the standard one on impact, but small clusters spread within its radius, allowing for greater damage over a single armored target.

Oversights
Grand Theft Auto Online
- The propellers are not properly centered with the spindles they are mounted on, resulting in a slight wobble as they rotate.
Trivia
Grand Theft Auto Online
- A second, identical version of the model exists in the game files, model name
216cstreamer
(as opposed tostreamer216
). The model is completely unused. Unlike the in-game Streamer216, this model has no LOD models, likely the result of an export issue.- The presence of a "C" within the model name of the unused version of the plane also suggests the vehicle changed names from "Streamer216C" to "Streamer216".
