Shield Fighter

B Shield Fighter 300 Hardy Fighter 3 Inflicts Atk/Spd-4 on foe during combat.

If foe's attack can trigger unit's Special, triggers the following effects during combat: grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before foe's first attack; if foe's first attack triggers the "attacks twice" effect, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before foe's second strike as well; grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before foe's first follow-up attack. If foe's attack triggers unit's Special and Special has the "reduces damage by X%" effect, Special triggers twice, then reduces damage by 7. Each Special trigger is calculated as a separate activation.

Notes

  • The stat decrease that can be applied by Shield Fighter is considered a temporary debuff.
  • Shield Fighter's Special cooldown count reduction that occurs during combat is a flat -1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as  Guard,  Special Cooldown Charge +1, and  Spd/Def Tempo 4.
    • All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
      • For example, if a unit has  Preempt Pulse and  Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
  • Specials that "reduce damage by X%" activating twice will also have other effects those specials have activate twice, such as  Ice Mirror's effect of boosting the damage of the unit's next attack equal to the total damage reduced when triggered.
    • Although the effect of the special will activate twice, the special will only visually activate once.
  • The damage-reduction effect is a flat -7 damage that is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as  Arcane Lúin and  Dominance, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as  Gust and  Dodge.
