Notes

  • The stat decrease that can be applied by Barbarity is considered a temporary debuff.
  • The damage-reduction effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as  Arcane Lúin and  Dominance.
  • The effect is triggered regardless of whether Barbarity's user performs an attack during combat. If foe initiates combat and user cannot counterattack, Barbarity's effect will still trigger.
  • Barbarity's user needs to survive the combat for the effect to trigger.
  • Barbarity applies the  Vantage status effect.
    • Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If  Vantage is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
    • "If foe initiates combat" means if a foe triggers combat during the enemy phase. The unit being initiated upon does not need to deal damage, nor be able to counterattack.
      • However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit being initiated upon must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
    •  Vantage does not grant the user the ability to counterattack regardless of foe's range.
    • If the user can counterattack, either from using a weapon with the same range as the foe's weapon or from countering skills, the user's counterattack will occur before the foe's initial attack.
    •  Vantage changes the priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be neutralized by effects such as  Hardy Bearing 3 or  Armorpin Dagger+.
  • Barbarity applies the  Dodge status effect.
  • The stat decrease that can be applied by Barbarity is considered a  Penalty.
    • Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have  Penalties for their first action.
      • If the unit also has  Grand Strategy, any  Penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
