Very Quick Shots

Very Quick Shots is the second upgrade of Path 2 for the Dart Monkey in Bloons TD 6. It changes the attack cooldown multiplier from 0.85x (from the previous upgrade) to 2/3x (0.666...), which is equivalent to +50% attack speed compared to a Dart Monkey without Quick Shots, or +27.5% for a tower with it. In total, attack cooldown reduces to about 0.633s by default.

This upgrade costs $160 on Easy, $190 on Medium, $205 on Hard, and $230 on Impoppable.

Description

Overview

This upgrade changes the Dart Monkey's headband color from green to red. For Spike-o-Pult and Juggernaut, these color changes are painted on the grips of the catapults instead.

This upgrade improves overall speed buff to +50% (2/3 attack cooldown), or 0.633s attack cooldown by default.

Targeting Priorities

Very Quick Shots targets bloons using the standard targeting priorities. It shoots a straight movement projectile.

• First: Targets the first bloon visible within its range.
• Last: Targets the last bloon visible within its range.
• Close: Targets the closest bloon visible within its range.
• Strong: Targets the strongest bloon visible within its range.

Adding Enhanced Eyesight adds Camo Prioritization, allowing all its attacks to prioritize Camo Bloons over other types when this secondary targeting option is active.

• Bonus Monkey!: Each game starts with a Free Dart Monkey.
• Come On Everybody!: Primary towers attack 5% faster if all are below tier 3, and cost 5% less if all are tier 3 or 4.
• Monkey Education: All Monkeys XP earn rate increased by 8%.
• Better Sell Deals: All Monkeys sell for 5% more. Increases sell potency from 70% to 75%.
• Veteran Monkey Training: All Monkeys reload time reduced by 3%.

Strategy

Summary

Very Quick Shots further increases the Dart Monkey's attack speed. Again, like Quick Shots, it is generally unwise to purchase this upgrade unless it is to purchase a Tier 3 upgrade on the same Dart Monkey, whether it be to upgrade towards Triple Shot or as a crosspath with Crossbow or Spike-o-pult.

Tips

• The Very Quick Shots upgrade costs nearly the same price as a 0-0-0 Dart Monkey. Try purchasing this upgrade only if intending to upgrade the Dart Monkey to any Tier 3 upgrade, if possible. This is even more important compared to Quick Shots, as that upgrade is only half the price of a 0-0-0 Dart Monkey, where in some cases can be quite useful even without additional upgrades.
• A maximal increase in attack speed for the Dart Monkey. It is best max-crosspathed for a Tier 3 and above Dart Monkey, unless in a specific Least Tiers or Least Cash challenge that necessitizes the lack of Very Quick Shots.

• Very Quick Shots is the cheapest Dart Monkey Tier 2 upgrade in the game, but not the cheapest Tier 2 upgrade, both in terms of upgrade prices alone. In fact, Even More Tacks is even cheaper, at $100 on Medium.
