Rock Monsters,[1][2][VA 1] also known as Golems[mg 1] and Rock Creatures,[3][4] are sentient rock Golem monsters from Legerdomain. They are brought to life from totems by Charmcaster, who sends them to fight Ben's team often throughout the franchise.
Appearance
They are portrayed as large golem-like creatures with pink and white or magenta runes in their stone skin, similar to the carvings on the Charms of Bezel. When activated, they glow bright pink and white.
In the Original Series, Rock Monsters were usually depicted as being dog-like, but some were also bird-like.[5]
In Alien Force and Ultimate Alien, they were drastically changed into burly humanoids.
Rock Monsters controlled by Addwaitya are more bluish in color but lack the runes of those controlled by Charmcaster. Rock Monsters controlled by Darkstar look mostly similar to Charmcaster's except their runes are gold due to being powered by his golden energy.
In Omniverse, Rock Monsters look mostly the same as in the Original Series but with the size and color scheme seen in other series. Charmcaster and Darkstar's Rock Monsters both have magenta runs.
Charmcaster can also summon bat-like creatures from her bag. These creatures are also made of stone and also sport the pink or magenta runes.
History
Ben 10

In Tough Luck, a rock monster was chasing Max before being thwarted by Wildmutt, who reverted back to Ben.
In A Change of Face, they helped Gwen because she had switched bodies with Charmcaster's body after one of Charmcaster's spells backfired when Gwen got caught in the bubble. During the food fight, when Pinky demanded that Gwen give up the spellbook, Gwen released stone birds and they attacked Pinky, and when Missy tried to attack Gwen from behind with a group of female prisoners, the stone birds attacked the group instead. When Gwen, Pinky, and Missy escaped into the sewers, Charmcaster's bag followed them and gave Gwen a magical bomb she used to blow up the bars.
When Pinky and Missy tried to kill Gwen once more, Gwen decided enough was enough and threw two eggs at them. The eggs hatched into two Rock Monsters. Pinky and Missy became afraid of them. They ran in terror and into the cops, fearing that the Rock Monsters might kill them. When Gwen returned to Ben and Max, the Rock Monsters still protected Gwen, furious that Charmcaster abandoned them in the hands of the cops that arrested Gwen when she was in Charmcaster's body.
In Ken 10, Gwendolyn Tennyson appeared and gifts Ken a rock monster as a pet. After being released from the Null Void chamber by Devin, Kevin stomped on it. After thwarting Kevin and Devin joining Ken's family, the rock monster regenerates and reunites with Ken.
In Ben 10 vs. Negative 10: Part 2, Charmcaster set rock monsters after Gwen.
Alien Force

In Time Heals, in an alternate timeline, Charmcaster enslaved Kevin and turned him into a Rock Monster, preventing him from being able to defeat her and Hex.
Ultimate Alien

In Where the Magic Happens, Rock Monsters controlled by Addwaityaappeared. Here it is revealed that they can be natural creatures instead of simple homunculi, and that the rock monsters that Charmcaster is normally assisted by were freed by her and so they follow her willingly and are not controlled by her at all.
In Absolute Power: Part 1, Gwen called upon Rock Monsters to fight Ultimate Kevin. They did a good job at first, but then they were defeated when Kevin absorbed their manna, causing them to crumble and fall.
In Enemy of My Frenemy, a more intelligent Rock Monster known as Ignaceous helped Ben and his team find Addwaitya. When he is later injured during Addwaitya's attack, he urges the others to press on without him.
In Couples Retreat, Darkstar used Rock Monsters against Ben and Kevin.
Omniverse
In Mystery, Incorporeal, Rock Monsters were controlled by Darkstar.
In Charmed, I'm Sure, regular and bat Rock Monsters were used to form an armor for Charmcaster. However, this armor was destroyed by Hobble and Rook.
In Charm School, bat Rock Monsters attacked the team only to be defeated by Gwen as Lucky Girl.
Powers and Abilities
Rock Monsters possess enhanced strength and recovery, regeneration, and the ability to alter their size.
Rock Monsters "merge" with Charmcaster to form a durable armor.
Intelligent Rock Monsters such as Ignaceous have been shown to be able to use magic and manna manipulation.
Weaknesses
Rock Monsters can be severely injured or easily destroyed when met with an attack of sufficient force, such as certain spells.
Rock Monsters can be harmed by acid, such as that generated by a Polymorph.[6]
The runes inscribed on a Rock Monster's bodies are made of manna, which makes them susceptible to having their manna absorbed.

Trivia
- They are usually yelled at by Charmcaster if not doing precisely as she says. This causes them to often be furious at Charmcaster for her constant abuse.[6]
- Generally, Charmcaster throws small stone totems/balls to summon them. However, she can also fire blasts of manna into the ground to summon them.[7]
- In the Original Series Future Timeline, Gwendolyn gives Ken a Rock Monster as a present on his 10th birthday, showing that she has learned how to summon them herself.[8]
- The Omnitrix is unable to accept Rock Monster DNA because, not only they don't have DNA at all, magic is not compatible with the science of the Omnitrix. Additionally, the Rock Monsters themselves do not have any DNA at all due to their nature as magically animated stone.[DJW 1]
