Atrocian

Atrocians[1][2] are a fat, blob-like alien species originally from the planet Atrocius 0.[DJW 1]

Appearance

Atrocians have short, stubby arms and legs, with claws on their three fingers and toes. They are short in stature and have warts on their head. Yellow, blue, and pink colored members of this species, including both males and females, have been seen.[DJW 2] Males have black claws, while females have purple claws.

Atrocians can grow curly hair on their heads like humans, although this has only been shown on females. Males have eyebrows and lumps or spots on their arms while females don't. Their tongues can be pink or blue, and their teeth tend to be crooked, misshapen, and broken-looking.

Behaviour

Atrocians are horrible slobs that are unable to clean up after themselves, which caused Ball Weevil's species to evolve as a natural sanitation solution. Once a week, the Weevils roll through Atrocian villages, sticky-balling up all the filth, then exploding it.[DJW 3]

Atrocians have a tendency to show up at inappropriate times and say unfortunate things in loud voices,[DJW 3] which is especially embarrassing for them on other alien planets.

History

Atrocians originated on Atrocius 0, but over time made it uninhabitable.[DJW 4]

Thousands of years later, after they had settled on other planets, they developed a symbiotic relationship with Ball Weevil's species.[DJW 3][DJW 5]

They currently live on Atrocius IX, Atrocius XII, Atrocius XVI, Atrocius XXI and throughout the galaxy.[DJW 1]

Powers and Abilities

Atrocians possess soft, blob-like skin that can absorb damage, making members of this species naturally immune to blunt force and most forms of attack. This enables them to withstand blows from much larger and stronger opponents by allowing them to continuously pummel them until they collapse unconscious from sheer fatigue.[1][2][DJW 6] It also protects them from extreme temperatures, such as being submerged in active lava[3] and energy attacks like Exo-Skull's laser.[4]

Atrocians are naturally resistant to poisons.[DJW 7]

Larger Atrocians have enhanced strength[2] and can store medium-sized beings like Humans inside their mouths.[5]

Weaknesses

While Atrocian's skin is nearly impenetrable, they are limited to how much pain they can take at once. They lack any offensive options, basically becoming a punching bag for any capable enemy. In general, they have many attributes that could hinder them in battle.[DJW 8]

Though they are resistant to poisons, Atrocians are not immune.[DJW 7]

Atrocians need oxygen to breathe, meaning that they can neither breathe underwater nor survive in the vacuum of space.[DJW 9]

Atrocians are vulnerable to being possessed by an Ectonurite.[DJW 10]

Like other organic beings, Atrocians are vulnerable to being aged to dust by the time rays of a Chronosapien or a Chronian, though it would take a while due to all the dead skin and calluses.[DJW 11]

Atrocians can be immobilized by a Necrofriggian's ice.[6]

Atrocians can be killed by technology that disintegrates organic material,[DJW 12] for example, the Non-Baryonic Disruptor Chamber.

Etymology

Atrocian comes from the words "atrocity", which means a horrifyingly wicked act, and "atrocious", which means something being done particularly awful, referring to how the species tend to act, from personality to even how they deal with trash.

Trivia

  • Atrocians are easy prey to many predator species. However, predators in question consider Atrocians to be tough and unappealing.[DJW 15]
  • Atrocians are not vulnerable to Terroranchula's species, who are Ball Weevil's species' predators and co-inhabit their planet.[DJW 16]
  • All the Atrocians are based on Jae Hong Kim's storyboards, as that's the way he would draw aliens.[DJW 17]
  • An Atrocian predator would have been a large alien mosquito strong enough to pierce an Atrocian's skin to drink their insides.[DJW 18]
