Ragnarok was a psychopathic villain part of the Rooters' conspiracy,[DJW 1] being the murderer of Devin Levin in a false memory that Servantis had planted in Max Tennyson's head.
Appearance
Ragnarok had a skeletal face, but a muscular body. He had deep, sunken-in eyes with shadow marks circulating them and dark empty holes for cheeks. He had light blue-gray skin, long white hair, yellow eyes, and wore a black suit with ribs on the sides of his body with red flesh and scars. His forehead was greatly exposed to reveal a triangular red keyhole in his crown.
Personality
Ragnarok was a callous psychopath, willing to destroy an entire populated world if it served his purposes. He was also a sadist, taking an immense satisfaction in violently beating Kevin Levin to near-death. Despite his arrogance, Ragnarok was not above begging for his life.
Ragnarok also remained loyal to the Rooters, having never revealed the truth about Kevin's father to him.
History
Background
Ragnarok was originally a powerful and dangerous criminal from unknown origin, who possessed a ship able to drain energy from stars, destroying them in the process. After he had their energy, he sold them as power sources to the highest bidder. He was also part of the Rooters' conspiracy.[DJW 1]
According to Max's false memories, as he was about to absorb Earth's sun, Devin and Max successfully stole the key for his device. Ragnarok succeeded in catching their ship, and threatened to kill Max if Devin wouldn't tell him where the key was. When Devin declined, Ragnarok attempted to kill Max, but Devin put himself between them, and was fatally wounded instead of Max. Furious, Max used the element of surprise to send Ragnarok into the Null Void, where he was taken into custody.
Alien Force
Ragnarok appeared in Vendetta, where he escaped from his Null Void prison and the Null Guardians and arrived on Earth. After he trashed Kevin's house in order to find his key, Kevin's mother revealed to him what she thought happened to his father, causing the young Osmosian to start looking for Ragnarok in order to get revenge.
Feeling worried for Kevin, Ben and Gwen learned exactly who Ragnarok was from Max, and attempted to help Kevin, only to be asked by him to stay out of his way. Eventually, Ragnarok got the key back and attempted to use it to activate his machine, but Kevin successfully infiltrates his ship and destroys the ship's command, causing the device to be damaged and the air tank to break open. Ragnarok then begs Kevin to save him, stating that his father was a Plumber, an honorable man and he would never have let anyone die. Instead, Kevin took the key from him and left him to be sucked into space, and his death, thus avenging the demise of Kevin's father whom Ragnarok had mercilessly killed.
Powers and Abilities
Ragnarok could shoot powerful solar energy rays from his hands that could blow up walls and even the top of a sentry tower. These beams could also block a Biotsavartian's magnetic attacks. He could also use his solar energy to propel himself several stories into the air, and could manipulate them into bolts as well.
Ragnarok had enhanced strength and was very skilled in hand-to-hand combat, as he could defeat Kevin in his mutant form almost without difficulty.
Ragnarok was very fast and agile and had sharp reflexes, as he could swiftly dodge Diamondhead's crystal attacks. He was also durable enough to withstand Gwen's manna attacks.
Ragnarok could teleport himself anywhere he needed to be. He could also store small objects in the hole on his forehead, such as the key for his ship.
Weaknesses
Ragnarok was vulnerable to his own solar attacks.

Etymology
Ragnarök is the end of the universe and all existence in Norse Mythology. It's stated to be when the gods and giants will die and the universe will be remade.

- Ragnarok's working name was Armageddon.[script 1]
- Ragnarok was initially meant to be big, with wide shoulders and oversized hands, described as a bigger, meaner, nastier version of Blastaar from Marvel Comics.[script 2]
- Ragnarok was originally meant to survive the events of his debut episode, transported to another dimension in a flash of light.[script 3]
- As such, Ragnarok was among the returning villains mentioned in Dwayne McDuffie's pitch for Omniverse.[OV Proposal 1]
- An early idea for the Rooters included Ragnarok as a member of the team. However, this idea was scrapped.[DJW 2]
