Pyronites[1][2] are an extraterrestrial species of plasma-based lifeforms from the star Pyros.[Bandai 1]

Appearance

Pyronites are a humanoid plasma-based species that are composed of a bright inner plasma body covered by volcanic rocks.[pop-up 1][3] As fire-based entities, their bodies radiate high amounts of heat. Their feet have a slight oval like design with only two toes and one back toe.

Infant Pyronites are much smaller and thinner, and child aged Pyronites have oversized heads and higher voices.[4]

Female Pyronites are basically the same as male Pyronites, except they have more curved figures, and their chests slightly jut outward. Their arms are thinner than a male's. Their faces are longer and more curved.[5]

Pyronites can be born with different colors[DR 1] being mostly colored yellow, orange, or red.[DJW 1] Some Pyronites and those infected with an Earth cold virus, are colored blue.[DJW 1] Some Pyronites are even colored white.[DJW 1]

History

Sometime prior to the Original Series, Pyros warred with Piscciss for unknown reasons.[pop-up 2][6]

During a war on Anur Transyl, the energy of captured Pyronites was used by the Transylians to incinerate[DJW 2] and wipe out the Vladats.[pop-up 3][7]

Diet

Pyronites gain sustenance directly from the nuclear reactions of their homeworld.[OV VG 1]

Technology

A few coats of Pyronite wax can make anything completely fireproof. Pyronite polish is known for its ability to withstand extreme temperatures.[8]

Powers and Abilities

Pyronites have the power of pyrokinesis, meaning that they can create and influence the direction and form of fire. They draw their strength directly from the nuclear reactions of their world.[OV VG 1] Pyronites can project streams of fire from their hands and mouth,[9] and can create fireballs they can throw or roll. They can also absorb both flames and heat, meaning that they can put out a fire just as quickly as they can start one.[10][11][12][CN 1] Additionally, Pyronites can enhance the power of their punches by coating their fists in fire,[13][14] and can ignite their opponents or objects by touch[15] or remotely, as seen when Heatblast set Gwen's shoe on fire.[3]

A Pyronite's fire can burn hot enough to melt solid rock,[16] a tank,[14] and a road.[13] Pyronites can also use their fire in more creative ways, such as welding clumps of objects together[17][18] or making fireworks, as demonstrated by Gwen as Heatblast.[19] Additionally, they can spark fire fuses by snapping their fingers.[17]

Pyronites are capable of projecting fire lasers, which Heatblast utilized to create an opening in the wall of a building.[10] Pyronites can also form large fireballs that function as bombs, which Heatblast used to destroy a planetarium that the Sparksville Nosedeenians were possessing.[9]

Pyronites can create large pillars and vortexes of fire, which they can use to transport themselves and civilians without burning them,[DR 2] as shown when Heatblast saved a boy and his mother from a burning building;[10] transported himself on top of a subway train;[20] and when he transported Kangaroo Kommando down to safety.[11]

Pyronites can create constructs composed of fire, such as crescent-shaped weapons (referred to as "Fire Moons")[PoE 1] that can be used to effortlessly slice through objects, such as several of Vilgax's Mechadroids;[13] a fire dagger, which Heatblast used to slice through parts of S.A.M.'s water form;[21] and fire disks that explode on contact.[22]

Pyronites are capable of greatly amplifying the heat they give off, which Heatblast used to melt out of Vilgax's electrical net;[13] solidify Lenopans;[23] and flash vaporize the Fountain of Youth, while also destroying a large portion of the cave he was in. The latter example was done by a 4-year-old Heatblast having a temper tantrum.[24]

Pyronites can create a small fire-board on which they can ride at high speeds.[9] On this board, Pyronites can continuously circle their opponents to increase the temperature of their flames exponentially, as demonstrated when Heatblast used this technique to vaporize S.A.M.'s water form.[21] Pyronites are also capable of high-speed flight by propelling themselves forward in the air.[13][2][25][26][27] Additionally, Pyronites can fly by coating their entire bodies with fire, as demonstrated by Alan.[28]

Pyronites have the power of terrakinesis, meaning they can control earth. Pyronites can raise chunks of stone out of the ground to simply levitate above the ground, or to soar through the air.[14][29][30][15] This was first demonstrated when Ben taught Alan how to master his own flying abilities.[28]

Pyronites have enhanced strength, as Heatblast was able to hold his own against Dr. Viktor.[14] Heatblast was also able to lift debris of a building; rip off and buckle down the door of a car;[10] and stop a Wooden Bell from rolling, which was said to weigh heavier than 3,000 pounds.[31][27]

Pyronites have enhanced durability, as Heatblast able to survive getting thrown through multiple buildings at high speed by Vilgax with no damage.[13] Heatblast was able to take multiple laser blasts from Malware[29] and Rojo.[17]

Pyronites are capable of jumping exceptionally high.[32][14]

Pyronites can use their powers underwater, but at a lower intensity. Ironically, They can even breathe underwater despite being fire-based aliens.[12]

Pyronites are immune to fire.[10] However, Heatblast has been shown to be hurt by the force of a fire attack.[20][25]

Pyronites are immune to being controlled by a Vladat via their Corruptura, as they can burn them off their body with a small flare.[DJW 3]

Pyronites are resistant to being frozen within ice thanks to the high temperature they naturally produce, allowing them to thaw their way out of ice, such as ice created by an Evolved Necrofriggian's ice-flames.[33] Pyronites are also resistant to radiation, as demonstrated when NRG shot Heatblast with a radioactive blast.[32]

Due to being made of plasma and being constantly on fire, Pyronites glow in the dark like a candle.[20][25]

Pyronites are capable of generating smoke, as demonstrated when Heatblast created a large cloud to psych out the Nosedeenians before they were able to get to him.[9] They can also smack a body of water in order to create an offensive cloud of steam.[34]

When infected with a cold, a Pyronite's powers are completely inverted, making their pyrokinesis becoming cryokinesis (the ability to create and control ice), and they are constructed of icy fire rather than regular fire. While in this state, they can shoot blasts of ice from their hands that can freeze and cool down a nuclear reactor, and create blue "ice-fire" balls to encase and trap their opponents in.[35]

Weaknesses

The fire attacks of a Pyronite are ineffective against anything fireproof or capable of drawing strength from heat, such as Limax,[36] Tetramands, Petrosapiens[37][15] Vaxasaurians,[38] and especially Crabdozers,[27] and weapons and/or armor made from the latter's DNA.[39]

If exposed to enough water,[40][12] wind[41] or fire-extinguishing substances (such as a fire extinguisher),[3] A Pyronite's fire will be extinguished, though they can usually still reignite their flames almost instantly.[12]

Pyronites are at a massive disadvantage against a Crabdozer due to their fireproof skin.[42][43]

Pyronites can get dizzy by flying around in a continuous circle at extremely high speeds.[21]

Pyronites are vulnerable to an Aerophibian's neuroshock blasts, as demonstrated by Alan.[28][44] Pyronites are also vulnerable to being blown away by strong winds, also demonstrated by Alan.[41]

Despite their Corruptura immunity, Pyronites can still be controlled by Corruptura unless they are burned off their body.[DJW 3]

Despite having bodies made of fire and resisting ice, Pyronites can still be rendered immobile by ice until they melt it off.[33][2]

Pyronites cannot survive in the vacuum of space.[DR 3]

When under the effects of a cold, a Pyronite's pyrokinesis is replaced with cryokinesis. Despite the new powers this gives them, Pyronites work completely "nonfunctional" to their fiery nature and the cold still prejudiced their health.[35]

Trivia

  • Pyronites are tied with Lepidopterrans for being the species that has produced the highest number of unique hybrids.
  • Pyronites can have zits just like humans, but they pop and are consumed by fire almost instantly.[MW 1]
  • If a Pyronite wanted to wear an ID Mask, they would need a special one designed to be heat-resistant.[DM 1]
  • Pyronites do not wear clothes because either they cannot or have difficulty wearing them.[DJW 5]
  • During Cartoon Network's 20th Birthday Celebration, there was a live-action commercial of a family of Pyronites throwing a birthday party for a young one.[51]
  • Derrick J. Wyatt created a Pyronite character named Squivel after Omniverse ended,[DJW 6] inspired by Raf Esquivel from Transformers: Prime.[DJW 7]
