Crystal Claws was originally a bear who was mutated with Petrosapien DNA by Dr. Animo in Ben 10: Protector of Earth.
Appearance
Crystal Claws has the appearance of a common bear, composed entirely of Diamondhead's green crystals. It possesses spikes on its back and elbows, and maintains some humanoid aspects during the game while trying to attack. It shares similar yellow eyes to Diamondhead.
Powers and Abilities
Crystal Claws has outstanding strength and is tough enough to utilise blocks and withstand a lot of damage. When Ben first encounters this creature, Max states that its claws can cut through solid steel.
It can use its bare claws or shapeshift them into blades to perform a series of attacks that can deal high melee damage. When in direct contact, Crystal Claws can slam the ground to enclose itself in crystal shards that can damage and push away Ben. Crystal Claws can also trigger its hunting instinct: by running at full speed towards Ben if he is at a distance.
