Trivia

  • The name Pom-2 is a pun on both the Apple II series of personal computers, and pomme, the French word for "apple", alongside the pomegranate fruit that the logo was designed after.
  • The replacement circuit board requested by Loid during Whispers in the Walls is modeled after the Pentium III Katmai microprocessor, first released in February 1999.
  • The desktop wallpaper of a grassy field and blue sky with clouds seen on the Pom-2 in 1999 is very likely based on Bliss, the default wallpaper of the Windows XP operating system.
    • While Windows XP launched in 2001, the photo itself, initially titled Bucolic Green Hills, was originally taken in 1998.
    • The background's sky also has a chromatic effect that resembles the sky in the Joy Spiral in Duviri.
  • The music that plays when interfacing with the Höllvania series Pom-2 is an 8-bit arrangement of THE GREAT DESPAIR.
  • When opening the Navigation window on the Höllvania series Pom-2, a computerized voice will say "Please select destination." When choosing a mission, the voice will say "Plotting route." When exiting the Pom-2, a playful voice will say "Bye-bye."
