Luscinia, also known as The Sorrowful Soprano, is one of Dominus Thrax's courtiers of Duviri. She acts as the courtier and as the Orowyrm boss during the Sorrow Spiral.
When not the featured courtier of the spiral, she can be found singing in the Chamber of the Muses, at the southeast of the Duviri Landscape. She can also be found in one of the rooms in The Undercroft alongside Bombastine as a hologram.
Lore
Dominus Thrax's favorite singer, the various cruelties the envious Bombastine inflicted on her made her and her voice so appealing to him, that she now serves as his primary entertainer. A deeply melancholic and depressed woman who indulges in excessive misery, she frequently harasses Thrax and the rest of Duviri out of spite, but the guilt from her actions drives her further into depression.
Luscinia is fully aware of why Bombastine harasses her and genuinely shares his sentiment, as she wishes to trade places with him as well.
Lost Islands of Duviri
There was a time when Duviri's festivals were held on Lake Verula as its main spot. Within the lake, a school of rainbow eels would be attracted by the music and would follow Luscinia across, floundering on the shore when she disembarked, as if they yearned to remain with her.

Luscinia indulged in sorrow in excess. It is a poison that Luscinia drank like wine. She wondered if inflicting suffering upon those who deserved it would end her misery, but she eventually realized that though it comforted her at first, it was a cold comfort and her sorrow grew. Sorrow made Luscinia compassionate for she could not give pain without feeling it and she wept for those she was hurting. She tried to dismiss this thought as a weakness but her heart disagreed. Luscinia eventually decided to walk down the dark path she had set her feet upon to the very end. She already knew the outcome, like a prophet's gift, but she could not turn aside, even if she prepared to risk everything on a reckless gamble.
