Arlen is the main antagonist in "Blake", the last episode of Blake's 7.
She is portrayed by Sasha Mitchell.
Biography
Arlen was an officer of the Terran Federation. (She insisted on being referred to as an officer rather than an agent.) She was sent undercover on Gauda Prime to investigate reports Roj Blake was on the planet. Her cover identity was as one of the criminals who had taken refuge on the lawless planet, making them a target for bounty hunters. She met Blake in the forest and took refuge at his campsite. When they were attacked by bounty hunters, Arlen killed two of them before being wounded. Blake killed the third one, Tando, but then announced he was also a bounty hunter. He took Arlen prisoner and told her who he was.
Blake took Arlen back to his base and handed her over to the apparent base commander, Deva. Arlen quickly learned the truth of the situation: Blake was using the situation on Gauda Prime to recruit criminals into a new resistance group against the Federation. He was posing as a bounty hunter in order to test them. Arlen was recruited and acted as a guard at the base, while secretly alerting the Federation to its location.
Arlen stood silently by as Blake's masquerade backfired on him: Capturing Tarrant, who had crashed on the planet in Scorpio, resulted in his old crew mistakenly believing he had betrayed him, and Blake was killed by Avon. As the Federation launched their attack on the base, Deva entered with a warning and Arlen killed him before revealing her true allegiance and informing the Scorpio crew they were her prisoners. Vila drew her attention and Dayna retrieved her gun but Arlen killed her. Moments later, Arlen was knocked unconscious by Vila.
It is unknown what became of her after the subsequent, somewhat one-sided, battle between the Federation troopers and the remaining Scorpio crew.
