Description
Nether is a hell-like map. It is assumed that this is the underworld, popular in religious cultures. What hell is depicted as by Nether has changed over time, with remakes to the map.
This map is included in the map rotation for Hardcore mode, as well as the regular map rotation for normal gameplay.
Design & Path
The current version of Nether has four reddish-brown islands with black rocks in a magma pool. Various tusks and smaller magma pools can be seen. Several tall black fortress like buildings can be seen in a gothic style. The entire map is surrounded by magma.
The reddish-brown path begins and ends at two caves. It crosses all four islands with stone bridges linking the islands.
The second version of Nether was identical to the first version, except that the skybox changed, and the tone of the map was changed to be darker.
The first version of Nether had a magma theme, with several volcanoes and magma pools dotted around the map. The map itself consisted of two islands connected by a bridge, which was also part of the path. The entire map was surrounded by a black void. The islands themselves were chained to more solid structures sticking from out of the void. This gave the illusion that the islands were floating.
The black stone path began and ended at two lava portals at opposite ends of the map. It is relatively straight, though there are two kinks in the path to take a random detour.

Strategy
- Cliff spots are quite spaced out in this map.
- Aside from a small mound found on the third island, all the cliff spots are to the side of the path, away from optimal positions.
- Long-ranged towers, such as the Turret, are recommended on this map to exploit the high number of turns.
- The DJ Booth can help increase the range of towers.
- The Military Base units can help on this map if enemies get past your main defenses.

Trivia
- This map is an obvious reference to Minecraft's Nether dimension.
- You can place ground towers underneath the map.
- On the original two version of Nether, there were various Robloxians scattered across the map.
- One of Robloxians had a sign saying "Ah those poor souls..." above its head.
- While this map was remade in the MEGA Update, it was not massively overhauled like other maps.
- The biggest change was the change in skybox and the removal of skulls on sticks across the map.
- This map was later completely overhauled in the Overhaul Update.
