Portland

Description

Portland is a map which takes place in a city port. It has been remade once since its addition to the game.

Portland has the Enemies Beta modifier, which changes the appearance of some enemies, replaces some enemies with other enemies and changes stats of some enemies.

Design & Path

The current version of Portland is a city port. The map itself is surrounded by hills on most sides, except the port, which is connected to water. There is a road on this map, which is blocked by rubble made by the broken bridge above the road, while the other is blocked by a police car. There are two tunnels which lead to the block, though the access to the road is blocked by roadblocks. In the blocked part of the road, five colorful buildings can be seen. Lamp posts can be seen on the pavement along the road. At the port there are multiple benches, recycle bins and dumpsters. On the concrete floor, multiple crayon drawings can be seen. This includes flowers, a house with a stickman and hopscotch boards. A few trees and hedges can also be found here. A stone statue with a top hat can be seen in the middle of the port. A red ship can be found docket at the port. A cargo ship and another port can also be seen in the sea. A mast can also be seen in the hills.
The path starts and ends at two road tunnels. The path goes through the port due to the blockade on the road. After travelling through the port, the path goes back onto the road.

The second version of Portland was a city map that spans two islands. These islands were connected by a large suspension bridge. The first island contained the majority of the buildings, including a broken road bridge. A sewer could also be seen on the first island. The broken bridge did not symbolize anything. Two cargo ships could be seen around the map in the river. Two statues could also be found on the two islands. On the second island, not much could be found, except some containers and a radio mast. Several hills, orange cones and trees could be seen around the map.
The black slate path started and ended at two caves. The path weaved around the broken bridge and buildings on the first island before going onto the bridge. On the second island, the path weaved around a singular tree only.

The first version of Portland is identical to the second version, except baseplate water surrounded the map, instead of terrain water.

Interactive Map

Strategy

  • The bridge present on this map is a cliff spot, making cliff towers quite good on this map.
  • Ground towers should be placed in the port, as it allows your towers to cover a decent amount of the path.
  • The turns near the entrance can be useful for towers with low range like the Warden and Brawler.
