Doomspire

Removed Content

Doomspire has been removed from the game as of the 13th of October 2019.
Doomspire may still exist in the game's code, though it is no longer officially used in-game. This page has been preserved for historical purposes.

Description

Doomspire was a daytime map that imitated the classic Roblox game, Doomspire Brickbattle. It has since been removed from the game.

Design & Path

Doomspire took place in the skies, with four main doomspire towers (blue, green, yellow and red), connected by thin walkways. There were also various clouds around the map, to place ground towers upon.
The path started from the red tower (on the walkway) and went out to the mid-point of the map. It then made its only turn to head towards the blue tower. Therefore, this map had one of the shortest paths in the game.

Strategy

  • This map is very short, so Pyromancers and Freezers are essential for delaying enemies.
  • You can place a support tower or a cheap tower behind the spawn of the red path to distract Tank 1s and Tank 2s.
  • Cliff towers are not recommended for this map, as it offers very little cliff space, notably on the spires of the map.
  • It is advised that you stack your ground towers on the clouds to maximize space efficiency.
  • You can place ground towers on the yellow and green pathways, but not the red and blue pathways.
  • If you are going to use the Farm or Military Base, place these towers away from the path to ensure ground space is saved.
    • In general, the Military Base is not recommended on this map as the path is very short, meaning that the lifetime of units will also be short.
    • However, as the Crook Boss's units stop to attack enemies, they can be used effectively on this map.
  • Short-range towers are not recommended on this map as there are very few optimal spots where you place them.

Trivia

  • This map was obviously based on the Doomspire Brickbattle game.
  • Doomspire had one of the shortest paths in the game, even challenging Candy Cane Lane for the shortest path.
    • This was also considered to be one of the hardest maps in the game, with only 4,554 people beating the map on any difficulty.
  • This map was removed in the MEGA Update and was never re-added.
    • The reason why this was removed was most likely due to the map's difficulty, unlike other maps that were removed.
