Description

Fungi Island is an island map that replaced Fungi Forest. This map has been remade once since its addition to the game.

Prior to the v1.6.1 update, this map was included in map rotation for Hardcore mode, as well as regular map rotation. As of currently it is only available in the regular map rotation.

Fungi Island has the Enemies Beta modifier, which changes the appearance of some enemies, replaces some enemies with other enemies and changes stats of some enemies.

Design & Path

Fungi Island is an island that has multiple luminous mushrooms of various sizes and colors growing on it. Multiple black rocks and cliffs can also be found on the island. There is also a small pond on it, with a bridge above it that enemies use as a path. The island is surrounded by water.
The brown path begins and ends at two caves. It crosses over a wooden bridge to get over a small pond.

There were two, very similar versions of this, with the only difference being that the current version has had some fungi removed from its cliffs.

Fungi Island has two islands that have luminous mushrooms growing on both of them. One of the island has purple grass, while the other has blue grass. Various flowers and fungi plants are dotted around both the islands. Both islands are surrounded by water, with a small river intersecting them. In the river, swans, fishes and floating lights can be seen.
The black path begins and ends at two caves, one on each island. It crosses over a wooden flower bridge to get over the river, in which enemies walk at a minor incline.

Strategy

  • This is a good map for cliff towers, as in the middle of the map are multiple cliff spots close to each other.
  • Ground towers should be placed around the start or middle of the path, as it allows them to cover most of the path.
    • As this map is quite long, you generally should not place your towers in the back, as it makes the game longer and allows enemies like the Necromancer summon a large horde of Skeletons, which can overwhelm players without enough DPS or any crowd control towers.
  • There are multiple corners and bends on this map's path, making towers with short range, like the Pyromancer, Warden or Gladiator useful here.
