Alfonse: I suppose you're right. We just have to keep our chins up and keep searching.
Euden: Don't worry—we'll help however we can.
Ranzal: Hey, bubs! We know ya been poundin' the streets all day lookin' for a way home, so we went and made a special dinner for ya.
Alfonse: A special dinner? For us?
Ranzal: Consider it yer welcome party, yeah?

Fjorm: Indeed, his exploits are so legendary, they earned him the title of Hero-King.
Marth: A moniker I do not deserve; all I have done is fight at the side of my friends.
Luca: Aw, stow the modesty! If I'd done half the things you did, I'd walk around with my chest puffed out like a balloon!
Elisanne: His modest nature is likely what allowed him to achieve all he did—a lesson you would be wise to heed.

Euden: You seem awfully serious tonight, Alfonse.
Alfonse: I was just thinking about how your army acts more like a group of friends than a traditional fighting unit.
Euden: As far as I'm concerned, we ARE friends— and that friendship also extends to you. Do you not feel the same way about us?
Alfonse: My apologies, but no. The forming of friendships is a thing I don't take lightly. It's true that I rely on the assistance of Heroes summoned from different worlds when fighting, but that is wholly different.
Euden: Marth is one of the Heroes called to your world by your summoner, right?
Alfonse: That's right. He and all the other Heroes fight at our side in battle—which is both reassuring and greatly appreciated. And while I trust them implicitly, that isn't the same thing as friendship.
Euden: So the Heroes you fight with are allies, but not friends?
Alfonse: Correct. Also, I imagine this is something you will understand as well, but... The more you care for something, the more painful it is to lose it. I have a duty, and can't afford such hurt. So if I grow close to someone, I do so accepting the potential consequences.
Euden: I understand how you feel—and I'm certainly not going to force a friendship on you if it isn't what you want.
Alfonse: Thank you for understanding. ...Oh, and for the wonderful food.
Cleo: Are you finished eating?
Alfonse: Yes. For now, there is something I need to investigate. If you will excuse me?
Cleo: He's a very serious and cautious young man, isn't he? Even when it comes to friendships.
Euden: Yes—although it makes me a bit sad.
Cleo: I can only imagine it does, given your own personality.
Euden: It's not that I think he's WRONG, per se. It's just that... I mean...
Cleo: I see no harm in trying to become his friend, if that is what you want. He may think differently from us, but he doesn't seem opposed to our presence.
Euden: I just hope I can convince him to become friends eventually...

Luca: To the sylvan village where I'm from! You said there are no sylvans in Askr, yeah? So I want you to learn everything you can about us. And I want everyone in the village to learn all they can about YOU! Ain't often I get to become friends with a prince from another world, after all.

Elisanne: It sounded like the flapping of enormous wings. A dragon, perhaps?
Marth: Dragons are sacred creatures in this world, are they not?
Euden: Yes. Alberian royals form pacts with them.
Marth: The concept of being able to shapeshift into a dragon after forming a pact is a fascinating one indeed.
Fjorm: Since we first came to this world, it's been one surprise after another. That may be why I'm starting to feel pangs of nostalgia for my own home... Strange, isn't it?
Alfonse: Yes. While it's important for us to learn more about this world while we're here, our ultimate goal is to find our way back. We must stay focused on that task and—

Luca: You draw their attention, Ranzal! I'll take 'em all out with my bow!

Cleo: I have your back Elisanne—you may proceed to do your thing.

Alfonse: Look how brilliantly they fight together... THIS is the true power of a bond...

Euden: Okay, that's the last of them. Good job, everyone!
Fjorm: I feel as though we barely contributed. There were so many fiends, yet they made the task look like nothing.
Marth: Working together allows the whole to fight better than the individual.
Alfonse: And at the center of it all stands Prince Euden. Perhaps there is something to his notion of friendship after all...

Elisanne: Prince Alfonse? What are you doing?
Alfonse: Writing up all we have discovered in our investigation thus far.
Notte: Dude, that is a LOT of writing. I'm getting dizzy...just...reading... Uuuurgh...
Alfonse: Are you all right, Notte?
Notte: Whew! That coulda been bad. Thanks for catching me before I ended up as a floor pancake. You're a real prince!
Alfonse: Actually, I am a prince by the basic definition of the word—the prince of Askr.
Notte: No duh, Captain Literal. I'm just saying that you also act the part. You're smart and tough and cool and stuff. You're not really like our prince at all.
Elisanne: Still your tongue, Notte! His Highness is a wonderful individual!
Notte: Easy there, girl! I'm not talkin' smack! It's just that Alfonse seems more... you know? Regal and junk.
Elisanne: I suppose His Highness IS unusually personable for royalty.
Notte: Right? He's more like a regular dude. He even got scolded for sneaking off to go for a walk about town! Ha ha ha! But that's a good thing, because it lets him understand how us common peasants feel.
Elisanne: I'm not certain I'd call myself a peasant, but we are all proud of His Highness.
Alfonse: He must be honored to be spoken of so highly by his vassals. He seems an upstanding individual— both as a man and a ruler.

Euden: Haaah! *pant* *pant* All right, I think that's enough training for today. Hmm?!
Alfonse: That was quite the display of swordsmanship.
Euden: I didn't notice you there, Prince Alfonse.
Alfonse: That is concerning. Training is important, but so is being aware of your surroundings. You are in charge of this castle, after all. Though it seems that relaxed nature is part of the reason your people hold you in such esteem.
Euden: Er...okay? Where's this coming from?
Alfonse: I was speaking of you with some of your vassals today; it is clear how much they all admire you.
Euden: Well, I'm glad to hear that—but I still have a lot of room for improvement. I don't have the aura of a prince in the way that you do, for example.
Alfonse: Everyone describes me that way, but I'm not certain I fit the mold of a typical highborn noble.
Euden: You certainly seem that way to me.
Alfonse: Hmm... I've not yet spoken to you about the Order, have I?
Euden: No, I don't think so.
Alfonse: The Order of Heroes is a group that fights to protect the peace of Askr. I was determined to join, and so I did.
Euden: I'm surprised the people around you were okay with that.
Alfonse: Oh, I met resistance—from my father in particular. But this was simply something that mattered to me more than having everyone's approval.
Euden: I know exactly how you feel.
Alfonse: I imagine you must, seeing as you're a prince who fights on the front lines.
Euden: Heh. Perhaps we're more similar than I first imagined.
Alfonse: Quite. In fact, just speaking with you reminds me of an old friend back in Askr. ...I miss him terribly.
Euden: I hope you can find your way home and see him again soon.
Alfonse: Alas, even if I do find a way home, I fear that will never happen.
Euden: Why not?
Alfonse: He is a former member of the Order, and a very close friend. But...his situation is complicated. He could stay with us no longer.
Euden: I'm sorry to hear that.
Alfonse: It's all right. No matter how far apart we are, I'll never forget him—in that way, we will always remain connected. But the more you value someone...
Euden: ...the more it hurts when you lose them. Having suffered terrible losses myself, I know well the truth of that statement. Losing my family was the worst pain I've ever experienced, but I'd still take it over never having known them at all. I imagine you feel the same about your former friend. Bonds of friendship aren't things to be cast aside easily once they're forged.
Alfonse: I suppose you're right.
Euden: The two of us are from different worlds, so the time will eventually come when we have to part. But I can't help but feel I'd be happy to call myself your friend.

Euden: If we don't defeat this thing quickly, it's going to send us flying!
Ranzal: We picked a lousy foe to run into when the footin' is this bad!
Euden: Oh no... I'm losing my balance!

Euden: Nnngh... Wh-where are we? I remember us falling over that cliff, and then... Wait, where is Alfonse?

Euden: Thank goodness! Are you all right?
Alfonse: Not quite—I've hurt my foot, which is making walking difficult. I suggest you leave me behind and go on alone.
Euden: That is NOT going to happen. Here, climb on my back.
Alfonse: I don't think that's wise. We might run into fiends or imperial soldiers on the way out. If that happens, I will only be a burden. It makes more sense for you to go on alone and return with aid.
Euden: I'm not doing that. We don't even know where we ARE, which means we have no idea how long it'll take for help to come.
Alfonse: You are an individual who can—and should—change the world around him. I can't allow someone like that to be hurt—or worse—in an effort to save someone not even from this world.
Euden: I could say the same to you! You have a goal you need to accomplish in your own world, right? Well, that means I can't let any harm come to you in mine. Especially since you're the one who rescued me when I was almost sent flying. You saved my life, Alfonse. Let me return the favor. Besides, I'm not going to let anything happen to you OR me. You'll just have to trust me on that. Now let's get going already.

Alfonse: You are responsible for the future of this entire country, yet you chose the most dangerous course of action.
Euden: If the most dangerous course of action also happens to be the best, I don't have a problem with that. This might be a bit irresponsible to say, but the title of "prince" doesn't really matter to me. Even with the title, I'm still a person— and people all have their own wishes and ways of thinking. The only thing I care about is that everyone lives in peace and happiness.
Alfonse: Hmm. All this time, I was thinking we had little in common. But now—
Euden: Wait. I hear footsteps!
Imperial Officer: Well, look who we have here...
Euden: What's the imperial army doing here?!
Imperial Officer: We heard the traitorous prince lost his footing and fell from a cliff, and have been searching for you ever since. To be frank, the rumor sounded inane; what kind of prince falls off a CLIFF? Yet here you are—and your head will make a fine decoration for our castle gate!
Euden: We have to run, Alfonse!
Imperial Officer: Aaah ha ha! Do you honestly think you can escape us with that sack of potatoes draped across your back? Seize them, men! Don't damage the head of the prince, but do whatever you like to this other one!

Euden: We've been walking from our original location for hours. How did you find us?
Luca: Easy—we just sent everybody in the entire castle out to look for you!
Elisanne: It is a good thing we made it in time.
Cleo: Stay still, Alfonse. I'll heal you.
Euden: Are you all right, Alfonse? I can't believe you tried to tackle an armed man. Why would you do something so incredibly reckless?!
Alfonse: You're one to talk about recklessness. Besides, it was a calculated risk—though one with admittedly low odds of success. I simply couldn't stand the thought of losing someone important to me.
Euden: Thank you for saying that— and thank you for saving me. Thank you ALL for saving me. I've been blessed with great friends. Now I just need to get stronger, so we can all make a world where everyone is happy.

Alfonse: I agree. I think we should leave both our countries and social standing aside in this match and simply focus on—
Fjorm: There you are, Prince Alfonse! Prince Marth has been looking for you. He found an old text that might aid our search.
Alfonse: Excellent! I will be there at once. ...I'm sorry, Prince, but our battle will have to wait until another time.
Luca: Sounds like they may have a clue about how to get home. I keep forgettin' they'll go back to their own world one day.
Ranzal: No need to make it sound like a bad thing when it's what they want, yeah?
Luca: Yeah, I know. But now that we're friends, it's gonna be hard to say good-bye.
Euden: I know what you mean. But AS friends, we need to wish for their happiness and not just think of our own. We have to believe we'll still be close even when we're apart.

Alfonse: My apologies for the intrusion. However, it's good to see you paying more attention to your surroundings now.

Alfonse: I was hoping to find you training. We never got a chance to finish the match we started earlier. I'm not sure either of us would have been truly comfortable going all-out in front of the others given our positions, but now that we're alone, we need not hold back. Alfonse: I could say the same. In fact, I was so focused on your flawless technique that I almost lost my edge. Perhaps we should stop here for the nonce, however. ...Goodness, look at the stars. They're so beautiful.
Euden: What's the night sky like in your world?
Alfonse: The positions of the stars are different, but they radiate the same beauty. It just makes me want to return home all the more.
Euden: I hope you can. Although it saddens me that we won't see each other again after that. I've prepared myself mentally for it, but it's still unfortunate.

Alfonse: It depends on the structure of the gate, but the idea isn't an impossibility. Who knows? We may even find ourselves able to travel between our worlds freely.

Euden: I really hope I can do that some day.
