Ray Chase

Ray Chase (born May 20, 1987) is an American voice actor who has voiced in anime, video games, and audiobooks. For Nintendo, Chase is best known for voicing Roy in the Fire Emblem series and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, L'cirufe in Xenoblade Chronicles X and Professor Cerise in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.

His best known role outside Nintendo is Noctis Lucis Caelum, the main character in Final Fantasy XV.

Trivia

  • Chase said in interviews that Roy was one of his mains (the other being Dr. Mario) in previous Super Smash Bros. games before he himself was cast in the role in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.[1]
  • Roy's English Star KO voice clip in Ultimate, is infamous for being overdone and horrifying, to the point that Chase acknowledged this influence on Twitter.[2]
