Prince Ephraim, is the deuteragonist of the video game Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, which is the 8th title of it's belonging series. He appears in one of the extra levels in the introduction. For the rest of the game it is optional for the player to either take Eirika's route or Ephraim's. However both Ephraim and Eirika join forces in the mid-last chapters and for the rest of the game. Prince Ephraim can wield lances only, and gets a horse just like Eirika once he is promoted.
The Quest
Ephraim is the son of King Fado, and also the twin brother of Princess Eirika. At the beginning of the story it is shown that Grado invades Renais. Ephraim leaves the castle with his own group of troops, to try and fight off Grado.
While Ephriam and his troops are trying to fight off Grado, his father is killed in the invasion and Eirika is taken to a safe place. Unfortunately Ephraim is betrayed by one of his loyal troops, Orson; which leads Ephraim to a trap. Anyway Ephraim ends up getting himself out of the trap. However false rumors get to Eirika; rumors said that her brother is set captive in Renvall. So Eirika actually ends up in the trap, but Ephraim hears that his sister is in Renvall trying to free him so Ephraim goes back. Luckily Ephraim was in time, once they defeat the enemies, Ephraim and Eirika have a long talk in Serafew. It’s a special moment for both, once finished they go visit the King of Frelia. After that they decide to separate, Ephraim wants to go to Grado and Eirika to Rausten.
It is here that the player chooses which path to go. After that both Eirika and Ephraim join forces once in Jehanna. Together they fight to free Renais and the other troubled kingdoms. However they solve many mysteries, some are very hard for them to believe.
Super Smash Bros. series
Ephraim appears as a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii along with various other characters from this game and the series as a whole.
