- For the Medabot known as Tentaclam in the anime, see Octoclam.
Tentaclam, known in Japanese as Kanehachi (カネハチ), is a CLA-type Medabot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.
Description
Tentaclam resembles a red octopus with 6 tentacles in the place of legs, and two more forming his arms. His "head" actually represents the abdomen of the octopus while the central "body" features a face design. The arms have large anchors attached on wires, which Tentaclam can fire like grappling hooks in order to slow his opponents down.
Tentaclam's model number, CLA, most likely comes from a corruption of Kraken. The "clam" in his name comes solely from his model number, as Tentaclam himself has nothing to do with clams.
In the games
Tentaclam is a multi-legged Medabot that attacks using "Hold" attacks to damage and slow his opponents. In Medarot 1, 2, R, and 2 Core, his parts all have the "Bind" attribute, making Tentaclam most combatible with the Squid Medal.
Medarot
Tentaclam is the sole user of "Hold" attacks, and one of the two Medabots capable of causing the "Bind" status (the other being CoffinBat).
His parts can be obtained early in the game from random battles in the harbor town area, or bought from a convenience store near the Venue area.
Medarot 2
Tentaclam's parts cannot be obtained in Medarot 2. The player must instead transfer them from the previous game or Medarot Parts Collection. Tentaclam was replaced by the new CLA-type, Octoclam.
Medabots (GBA)
Along with two Rollerman, Tentaclam is used by the Researcher Medafighters found in various locations.
Medarot R
Tentaclam is obtainable from Medarot R Parts Collection by fighting a girl scout, who is ranked opponent number 93.
