Megaphant (メガファント) is an ELF-type Medabot that first appeared in the original Medarot game.
Description
Megaphant resembles an elephant. His head has large ears and a heavy iron ball as his trunk, used to crush his opponents. Megaphant's arms, the Right Guard and Left Guard, are used mainly to defend his allies against enemy attacks, and each shield has a face on it that resembles a tribal mask. Megaphant's legs are tank treads with elephant-like paws on the front.
In the games
In Medarot, Medarot 2, and Medarot R, Megaphant is one of the sturdiest Medabots available, and is more compatible with the Knight Medal.
Medarot
Megaphant is mainly used by construction workers found in random encounters around the Medarot Company and Downtown areas. He is also used by the School's gym teacher.
Besides random encounters, Megaphant's parts can be purchased from the convenience store in the School area in the Kuwagata Ver., or in the Mountain Village in the Kabuto Ver., with Doctor Study replacing him in the opposite version.
Medarot 2
Megaphant's parts cannot be obtained normally, being only available after completing the game by transferring them from the first game or Medarot Parts Collection.
Medabots (GBA)
Megaphant is found in random encounters being used by the Ladies at Medabot Island and Medaropolis, and with the Tank Medabots at Fort Fiyun.
Medarot R
Megaphant is obtainable from Medarot R Parts Collection by fighting Foreman, who is ranked opponent number 38.
Megaphant's parts can be found in four Item Boxes during the prologue:
- The Trample head is hidden in the bottom-left of the very first classroom.
- The Chauffeur legs are in the Old Gymnasium in the top-right corner.
- The Right Guard arm is in the Launch Center plaza.
- Finally, the Great Shield arm is in the second Station hall, before entering Cluster proper.
Medarot S: Unlimited Nova
Megaphant is only available in gacha. His head's attack was upgraded to Power Hammer, and his arms now have Guard 300. His legs gained the effect Super Armor and has a Heavy Limit of 3, but only his head is a Heavy part, making his parts versatile.
In the anime
A Megaphant with a Knight Medal appeared in the episode Running Scared as the Medabot of a gangster who is trying to destroy Coach Mountain's dream park for some children. He won a Robattle against Coach Mountain's Digmole, but was defeated by Ikki's Metabee.
In "For Better, For Worse - Part I", a Megaphant competed in the Citywide Robattle Tournament. It bested a Phoenix, but lost to Metabee.
In "Space Medaballerina X", the same gangster and his two underlings used Megaphants to attack the Amigo Brothers, only to be quickly defeated by their Sabotinas.
Megaphant's model type is ELF-5126 in the English dub.
In the Medabots Spirit episode "Fighting Temptation", the Megaphant from a boy is one of the many Medabots Kam defeated with his Kilobot Tankbank to persuade Ikki to Robattle him, destroying his Knight Medal.

References
- ↑ Megaphant's left arm was originally named Left Guard in Medarot and Medarot 2. The arm was misnamed as Great Shield in Medarot R, Medarot Navi, and Medabots (GBA), which is the name of Knight Armor's left arm. The name Left Guard returned in Medarot S.
