Gas is a Mythical Elemental-type Blox Fruit that costs 3,200,000 or
2,500 from the Blox Fruit Dealer.
Gas allows the user to use gaseous (including concentrated and flammable) attacks against their opponents, and will also be granted a purely cosmetic purple, gas aura around them. The user will also gain the ability to transform into a powerful gas knight, just like the quote above says, improving and changing their attacks drastically, while also being granted the ability to stand on water.
Gas in its physical form is a very valuable trade item, being very sought after, as the fruit in general has extremely high AoE (Area of Effect), damage and is an extremely good fruit for combos. Being one of the best tank and anti-teamers of the game due to huge AoE, spammable abilities and overall great damage (while transformed) makes it a very powerful fruit for grinding, carrying Raids and PvP.
While Gas is a great fruit grinding for all seas due to its elemental immunity and [M1] attacks, it is not recommended to eat this fruit in first or second sea as the high mastery requirements on top of the knockback makes it quite annoying to grind with, paired with the slow flight ability.
This fruit is slightly underrated as many of its great AoE attacks, its high range moves, its tick damage as well as its in-built combos in the fruit are often neglected.

The user passively gains gas. Additionally, the user gains gas by dealing damage to any NPC/player. The user can transform when the gas meter is full. In the untransformed state, the user cannot lose any of their gas meter. However, in the transformed state, the user passively consumes gas, consumption increasing when taking damage or using any attacks including the [M1] attacks. The consumption also increases while walking on water. This passive feature is very similar to the Fury Meter. | ![]()
When Transformed as a huge Gas Knight, The user receives a 42.5% damage reduction from the steel armor of the knight and the dense gas used to surround the user, 33% speed increase and 2x higher jump and dash than normal. The user also gains the ability to stand and walk on water, similar to awakened Buddha. | ![]()
The transformed Gas user will have a ring of smog around them, as gas is released out of the user while transformed, draining the user's gas meter passively, like a leaking pipe. The user also leaves behind bluish smog when dashing or sky jumping. Purely cosmetic, as it does not deal any damage, as with all other transformation-based fruits. | ![]()
The fruit user can turn themselves into purple gas and smog, thus being unable to be hurt by any physical attacks (fighting style, sword, gun) from players unless the attacks are imbued with Aura. Unlike other transformations, this passive also applies when transformed as a Gas Knight. Against NPCs, this immunity applies only if the player is a certain level above them. This effect is only effective against non-boss enemies. | ![]() |

The user manifests a sword of gas, then swings it left and right, creating pink, circular slashes. The third and fourth swings are flurries of gaseous strikes that damage and pull in enemies, and the cycle ends with a final blue, fiery blast that knocks the target away, leaving a black soot mark on the floor.

![]() 1 Mastery | |
The user dashes forward, amassing cylindrical purple fumes that deal minor damage. If the target is hit within the vicinity of the initial fumes, the user will hold on to and slash them violently with a sword (akin to that of the normal attack), piercing through them and dealing substantial damage.

![]() 100 Mastery | |
The user summons rings of violet gas and vapor around them to form a rotating cage of gas, flinging around the target aggressively within the range and simultaneously suffocating them. Then the gas rings combust, blasting the target away.

![]() 200 Mastery | |
The user summons multiple smog demons with huge mouths and red tongues, before launching them towards their target, dealing poison damage over time. When tapped, a small number of demons appear and fire quickly at the target. More demons are summoned if this move is held down, and the demons can heat seek to some extent.

![]() 300 Mastery | |
The user amasses violet gas around them into a spinning vortex as they turn into a gas knight, wielding a vapor sword, while pulling around any enemies nearby, similar to the [X] move. All damage types of this fruit are greatly increased in this form, especially the user's M1 ability. The user gains 42.5% damage reduction, and has the ability to stand on water.

- The damaging variant of this move also activates if there are any players nearby, even if the user can't attack that player.

The user does a series of attacks: two slashes from their sword that vary from left to right, and finally collecting a huge amount of gas that combusts, launching the enemy very far away.

- When the user's cursor hovers over a very far away piece of land, the fumes can still land on that surface, indicating that this has a lot of range.
- This move can also be used in the air, making it a good counter to slow moving dragons that will most likely stand still in the fumes trying to aim a move, and get their move canceled by the fumes, giving the user an opportunity to strike back with the [X] or [C] move.

- If the user uses this move in the air, they cannot hit enemies below or above them. Enemies that stand very close to the user can also dodge the explosion.
- When used in a tight space, the beam will bounce off the wall and overlap the area of the explosion it had just passed through.

- The user also loses the ability to stand on water when this happens, so be careful when using this in the ocean.

3,200,000 or
2,500.
- Gas is the most expensive Elemental fruit in the game as of Update 24.
- The sound that plays during elemental immunity is the same as the Smoke fruit.
- Gas is the first and only Elemental fruit that has a transformation.
- Gas is the second Mythical fruit that is Elemental, the first one being Dough.
- Gas can infinitely stun Terrorsharks and other difficult bosses such as Cake Queen with its M1s, though a corner is needed for this to work on normal bosses and NPCs.
- Gas is one of the two fruits that grants a transformation large enough to walk in water without taking damage, the other being awakened Buddha.
- Gas is regarded as one of the best fruits for Raids, though the M1 for this fruit will severely slow down a Raid if not used correctly.
- It takes 5 minutes and 30 seconds to fill the Gas Meter without doing any damage.
- Gas's transformation lasts for 10 minutes (a full day cycle) if the user did not deal any damage to other enemies/players.
- Gas is one of the three Elemental fruits to not have an awakening, along with Smoke and Blizzard.
- When used C untransformed move against a Sea Beast, they heat seek to the bottom of it, indicating that right below the water in the area below its chin is its main hitbox, explaining why they cannot be hit when they are about to dive.
- Gas is the only Elemental fruit to have a Power Meter. The Gas meter is equivalent to Kitsune's Tail meter in terms of how long it takes to fill up, which is about 3 normal fury meters.
