The Dark fruit gives the user the power of darkness to stun, pull, and attack enemies.
Dark is considered a decent Blox Fruit for PvP when awakened due to its long stuns and teleport move, allowing the ease of sword and gun combos if they are fully invested in it instead of Blox Fruit. Due to the rather small AoE and range, Dark is considered a skilled fruit to use.
The fruit user is immune to all physical attacks (fighting style, sword, gun) from players unless the attacks are imbued with Aura. Against NPCs, this immunity applies only if the player is a certain level above them. This effect is only effective against non-boss enemies.

Short cooldown, which makes it good for PvP and escaping one-shot Combos.
Can be used to create a surprise in a combo, like Flash Step. (But shorter range)
Cons (Awakened)
General
Requires good skills and high predictions.
Despite being one of the best combo fruits in the game, Shark V3 or Cyborg V3 can counter these combos with their abilities, especially Cyborg, because Dark's awakened X and C moves need to be held, so its V3 ability can disrupt these moves and escape a potential combo.
Still not recommended for grinding.
Low damage in comparison to fruits of similar or same rarity.
[Z] Dimensional Slash
Small hitbox.
Hard to control.
[X] Abyssal Darkness
Can be punished if missed.
[C] Endless Hole
Small range when the move starts, and only increases when held.
Can be punished if missed.
[V] World of Darkness
Massive end-lag.
Hard to land.
Can be punished if missed.
[F] Ghastly Step
Relatively short range.
Trivia
Dark is not great for aerial combat (unawakened), thus Angel race would be an effective counter.
The Dark raid NPCs have low damage but the player will have a high chance of death if they get stuck in a Dark user's black hole move, since it keeps them in place and allows the rest of the Raid NPCs to attack them freely. It is recommended to have a Buddha user.
To the average eye, there is only one mobility move. However, skilled players can take advantage of another potential mobility move, which is the awakened [Z] move, "Dimensional Slash". In a fight, the user can confuse enemies by using Dimensional Slash on an NPC to quickly teleport away.
Dark Spiral instantaneously teleports to its maximum range when it is aimed at an open space in the air. It is especially dangerous when using shift-lock (whose default direction is forward) during aerial combat.
[F] Ghastly Step has a much shorter range than Flash Step though can be used in the air.
There is a glitch involving Dark [C] not allowing itself to hit Buddha users. This could be most likely due to the confusing hitbox of Buddha. To deal with this, aim it at the body of the Buddha user as that is where the main hitbox mainly is located.
