The M79 is an Activated Ability for the Highwaymen available in XDefiant. The M79 was added in Season 2.
Overview
The M79 is a single-shot grenade launcher with two available rounds. The M79 will explode after a certain distance is traveled by the projectile. If this minimum distance is not met, the round will not explode, but can still kill an enemy immediately if hit. Abilities can be destroyed by the M79. The M79 projectile has drop off, unlike regular weapons, requiring vertical drop compensation for long range shots.
Switching weapons or dying after a shot has been fired from the M79 will force the weapon to recharge.
