Hardened is a Passive Trait for the Phantoms available in XDefiant.
Overview
The Hardened is a set of tailored gene therapies that increase the toughness of the applicant. Hardened increases the maximum health to 115, allowing the player to survive more bullets from each weapon, excluding the TAC-50. The increase in health comes at the cost of a 5% slower movement speed and a 5 second health regeneration time compared to 4 seconds for other factions. Hardened will not increase the health pool while under the effects of Médico Supremo.

October 9th, 2024 Patch
- The Phantoms' finer performance points have been tweaked for faction balance.
- Their movement speed has been reduced 5 percent.
- The time it takes for their health to begin regenerating has increased from 4 seconds to 5 seconds (1 second longer than the regeneration delay of all other factions).
- Their health-heightening Hardened trait has been reduced from 120 hit points to 115 hit points
