The Shock Wire, unofficially the Crude Electrified Device or CED-1, is an Activated Ability for the GS-Kommando available in XDefiant. The Shock Wire was added in Season 1.

Overview

The Shock Wire is a spool of barbed wire that is electrified, previously used by Bandit from Team Rainbow. Three spools of wire are given initially, with a new spool being generated after an old spool is destroyed. Deploying a fourth active spool will destroy the oldest laid wire. After laying wire, 6 seconds must pass before the next spool can be laid. Whilst under the effect of the wire, the victim is slowed dramatically, and takes damage as long as they are in the wire. Friendlies are also affected by the wire, but are only slowed down. The player who laid the wire is unaffected. The Shock Wire can be destroyed by meleeing it, using a device, or using an ability. The Shock Wire can also be Hijacked, and destroyed by Lockout. It is possible to hipfire a regular weapon while deploying the wire.
