Sean Shin is a minor supporting character in the manhwa Weak Hero. He is an alumnus of Eunjang Middle School. He is an acquaintance of Alex Go.
Appearance
Sean Shin has black puffed up hair and brown eyes. He has a sly look on his face. In Chapter 91, he is is seen wearing a gray hoodie underneath a rather large coat. He is shorter than Alex Go. [1]
Personality
Sean has a very pompous attitude and categorizes people as "losers" and those who aren't losers (as shown when he looked at Eugene Gale and Rowan Im and thought they were losers). [2] However he holds people who are good at fighting like Alex Go to a high regard. For example, he looked down at Alex Go for being friends with "losers" like Eugene and Rowan and thought they were Alex's minions.
History
He used to go to school with Alex Go and Ben Park as they all went to Eunjang Middle School. Back in Alex's last year of middle school, Sean and Alex were in the same class while Ben was in another. Sean often talked with Alex and was like Alex's follower as he usually stuck to powerful people. During this tumultuous time, Ben Park was rumored to be all bluff since he never fought. Alex, being frustrated with Ben's lack of action and moral values, would get into fights with other students behind Ben's back with Sean in order to protect Ben's reputation. [3]
One time when Alex and Sean were roughing up some Gilshin students, Jimmy Bae goaded one of his minions to go get punched by the Eunjang Middle students. Sean punched the Gilshin student, ignoring Alex's warnings that something was wrong. Jimmy Bae and his gang then surrounded the Eunjang Students and cornered Alex, who they thought was their leader. Sean Shin and his followers promptly betrayed Alex Go and left him there to get beaten by the Gilshin students.[4]
After running away, they bumped into Ben Park. When Ben asked where Alex was, Sean initially lied and said that they split up. Ben knew he was lying and punched him in the stomach until Sean finally told him that Alex was at the construction site at the back gate of Yeongdeungpo.
Plot
Sean Shin saw Alex Go along with Rowan Im and Eugene Gale outside the hospital Gray was staying at after his fight with Wolf Keum. He greeted Alex Go and asked if he was hanging out with the losers, Eugene and Rowan and commented that the old Alex Go must have died. He then assumes that Eugene and Rowan are actually Alex's minions which must explain the bruises on Eugene's and Rowan's faces. Alex, infuriated, then punches Sean straight in the face. Sean backs away confused and Alex remarks that they aren't close enough to say hi to each other. Sean then leaves after cursing.
Abilities
Physical
Sean seems to only have average physical capacity, as since he latches onto those stronger than him, it might be a sign that Sean isn't a good fighter himself and relies on numbers on his side, equating to more fighting power.
Mental
Sean doesn't seem to be the brightest person and he is shown to be a coward in Alex's backstory, however, he sucks up to those stronger than him but immediately cuts off ties with anyone who he deems as not strong enough or worthy of his attention.
