Sochong-Su '85 are the improved variant of the Sochong-Su South Korean Rifle Squad. This unit was first introduced in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History
South Korea organized their Infantry into Infantry division, Mechanized Infantry Divisions and Armored Brigades. Infantry Division has three infantry regiments each with three to four battalion each. Mechanized Infantry Division has 6 infantry battalions mounted in KM113 or K200 and KM900. The Corps level Armored Brigade has a Infantry Battalion equipped with K200.
K2 replaced M16A1 in 1982. The infantry squad was changed in 1987 with the introduction of K3 into the infantry squad replacing the two automatic riflemen.
