K30 Biho

The K30 Biho (비호/飛虎, meaning "Flying Tiger") is a South Korean twin 30mm self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon.

History

Although it only entered service in 1999, its development been started as far back as 1983 but suffered from several technical and economical difficulties. It was the first indigenous South Korean weapon system, and despite the abysmal costs, proved to be a very efficient SPAAG. This was a electro-optically guided 30 mm gun system with a surveillance radar system mounted on a modified K200 hull.

These were used in the mechanized division air defense battalions along with serving in the air defense brigades.
