Trick Boost is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an Extreme Gear Gear Part that gives a free boost immediately after landing an Air Trick.
Description
Trick Boost is an installable performance-enhancing component for Extreme Gears. Its actual appearance is unknown, though it is presented as an icon on the head-up display in the top-left corner of the game screen. Its icon is orange with the image of a person who appears to be jumping forward inscribed in it.
Overview
In gameplay, Trick Boost is a customizable Gear Part that can only be attached to different Extreme Gears. It can be bought from the shop for 150 Rings.
When in use, Trick Boost will give the rider’s Extreme Gear a free speed boost upon landing from a successful Air Trick until the player deactivates it or finishes the race.
If Trick Boost is installed into the front slot, it becomes active in gameplay once the race begins. If installed into the rear slot, however, the player can activate, and as well deactivate, Trick Boost by switching stance by turning his/her body around due to the Kinect controls of the game.
