The Goolix family consists of two members, the Goolix and the Foolix. This family appears in Pikmin and Pikmin 4
Goolix
The Goolix is an enemy in the first Pikmin game. It resembles a blue amoeba with two nuclei (a blue one and a larger yellow one), and stretches around to engulf Pikmin who happen to be in its path, drowning them. The only Pikmin invulnerable to it are Blue Pikmin. Its weak point is the smaller blue nucleus. If it is attacked, it will smack the nuclei together, knocking all the Pikmin off of it. When it dies, it gets absorbed into the ground, dropping four random-colored 5-pellets. It is only found in the Impact Site on odd-numbered days (even-numbered days will have the Mamuta instead).
It is assumed to be part of the Goolix Family, but since this creature only appears in the original Pikmin, It can't be said for sure.
Foolix
The Foolix is an enemy that only appears in Pikmin 4. It is also the boss of the Secluded Courtyard. When meeting it you are greeted with a dob of nectar, when approaching it it would become the Foolix. It is yellow like the nectar and has a pink colored core. To defeat, use something with the weight of 10 Pikmin to pull out the core and then use your Pikmin to defeat the core until the Foolix regroups. Continue this cycle and defeat it to harvest its corpse for Sparklium.
