Shockcakes are enemies in Pikmin 4. They are cake-like enemies with snail-like eyes. They are found with their backs up, so they cannot be easily spotted. The Shockcake is a relative of the Scorchcake and the Freezecake, except that it attacks with electricity instead of fire or ice.
Strategy
The Shockcake is not too hard to defeat, as long as you are handy with the whistle. The best approach would be to dash Oatchi and all your Pikmin on to it, then whistle as it starts to flip. Keep in mind that the side of the shell that is not electric can be attacked by any types of Pikmin, while the electric side can only be attacked by Yellow Pikmin. Keep in mind that Rock Pikmin are able die if they are crushed by the electric side.

"This species has muscular organs that can create electricity by using ion gradients within densely layered rows of electricity-generating cells, which are arranged in an asymmetrical series.
It uses its plug-like protrusions to instantly shock its prey, and then squashes it. The squashed prey acts as fertilizer, improving the quality of the soil so that the microorganisms and moss that the Shockcake feeds on can thrive."
