A Shearblug is an enemy encountered in Hey! Pikmin. It looks like a flat, white Female Sheargrub with purple spots on its sides. It is capable of curling up into a ball and extending large spikes from out of its body. It can also survive both on land and underwater.

"What an odd creature! It lives on both land and water, and seems puffy, but shows spikes when threats approach. I find myself curling up when scolded as well, but alas, I have no spikes to present. What can I say? I'm a pacifist."
Battle Strategy
Hey! Pikmin
Shearblugs curl up and attack very soon after they see you, so it's best to keep your distance after spotting one and waiting until after it has curled up, and uncurled again. Then just chuck a Pikmin at it, and it will die in one hit.
