Sparklium is a type of Fuel Included in Hey! Pikmin and Pikmin 4. In both games, its a type of fuel needed in order to get the ship running, unlock new areas, and escape the planet. The main sources of Sparklium from Gold Acorns, Enemies, and Treasures.

Hey! Pikmin

In Hey! Pikmin, Sparklium was used to power up the ship Olimar had. Once crashing, Olimar realizes that the Sparklium can be a form of fuel for the ship to run. He soon discovers the pikmin afterwards. The whole goal of Hey! Pikmin is to get Sparklium to start the ship, and hopefully escape the planet. Along with that, Sparklium can be used to expand the radar of the ship, allowing the player to explore more areas and get even more sparklium.

Pikmin 4

In Pikmin 4, collecting Sparklium is a primary mission given to the player character, since it is needed in order for the S.S. Shepherd to be able to power on and scan areas. Treasure is brought to the S.S. Beagle and is added up at the end of the day. Every treasure has its own Sparklium value. Enemy corpses are also worth Sparklium, though they are only collectible in this way inside of caves and are usually not as valuable.

Completing a treasure series rewards additional Sparklium. There is 34,876 Sparklium worth of treasure in the game, plus a total of 7,602 Sparklium awarded for completing every series. This comes to a grand total of 42,478 Sparklium. If completing the Fit for a Feast mission, at least 81 more Sparklium in enemy corpses must be collected.

In this game, You need certain amounts of Sparklium to unlock all the areas.

Start up the ship again (Tutorial): 300 Sparklium

Unlock Blossoming Arcadia: 1500 Sparklium

Unlock Serene Shores: 4000 Sparklium

Run the engines and unlock Hero's Hideaway: 7000 Sparklium

Unlock Giant's Hearth: 11000 Sparklium

Unlock Primordial Thicket: 13000 Sparklium
