Seikret are Bird Wyverns introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Appearance
Adult Seikret are green, bipedal dromeosaurid-like creatures covered in feathers. The color and pattern of the plumage on the Seikret's entire body can change depending in its diet, resulting in a multitude of different shades and colors; this can allow its owners to customize their own Seikret's hue to their liking. Its front arms are small, but can still be used to run in a quadruped stance. These arms can also unfurl into wings, allowing it to glide.
Seikret chicks are small and rotund with fluffy white feathers, smaller beaks and short forward pointed crests on their heads.
Behavior and Abilities
Similar to Canynes, Seikret seem to exclusively work with Hunters, providing them a quick mount, but also able to glide with its forearm wings. It can run on two legs or on all four limbs depending on the terrain or how fast it wants to go. The Sandfolk of Kunafa have lived alongside them for generations, raising them as mounts and as companions.
Seikret can aid the Hunter in combat, allowing said Hunters to use slingers, ranged weapons like Heavy Bowguns while riding it at the same time, and able to combo into jump attacks for melee weapons such as the Great Sword. While they don't attack, they can swiftly retrieve a hunter from a dangerous situation in the middle of combat.
Hunters can put a second weapon in its weapon sling, allowing switching between weapons while riding the Seikret. Its well developed sense of smell allows it to guide its rider to the objective or location they desire.
