Defensor G1

Defensor (Known as Guardian (ガーディアン Gādian) in Japan) is the combiner form of the Protectobots.

While each member of the team has different methods, they share the firm belief of of Autobot ideal of protecting innocent beings, thus resulting Defensor's dedication of protecting life.

Defensor takes on responsibility for the safety of innocent lives with grim seriousness. He feels about the human race in the same manner of how a parent would do for their children and he's more than willing to risk himself for the sake of any human in danger. Defensor is emotionally attached to humans and consider them his "kind", which some have hard time to reciprocate.

His enormous size, however, sometimes make human frightened and mistake him with the terrifying Decepticons. Despite so, Defensor has strong belief of the Autobot being eventually accepted as their defenders.

Thanks to his components agreeing with each other for the common goals, Defensor has notably more stable mentality if compared to most other combiners (including his opposite number - Bruticus).

Formation (as seen in G1 cartoon series):

Thanks to being a Scramble City-type combiner, Defensor has been shown to have different limb placements, in which secondary members like Rook, Medix, Heatrock, Skyfeather, and even Ratchet can be included. Groove is also shown to resort to be the gestalt's additional chestplate.

Defensor can also combine with Heatrock & Skyfeather to form God Guardian with the latter two being respectively the shield & the extra chestplate for the gestalt.

Abilities & Weapons [1]

Primary function: Super Warrior / Defensive Operation

Abilities

  • As a combiner, Defensor is a unique being from the combination of the five Protectobots in both physical & mental aspects.
  • His strength & endurance are tremendous. He can lift 300,000 pounds (~ 150 US Tons or 133.93 Imperial Tons or 136.08 Tonnes) by just one of his arms.
  • His armor, which he has from Hot Spot becoming the torso, renders him impervious to most Transformer-scale artillery & the temperature up to 5,000°F (2760°C).
  • He can generate a protective circular force fielđ with the radius of 50 feet.
  • Presumably thanks to all five Protectobots agreeing with each other and sharing the common goals, Defensor has signficant intelligence as well as overall stable mentality. He also has excellent skill as a defensive unit & a fearless warrior.

Arsenal: Defensor has great firepower

  • For offensive purpose, Defensor uses Hot Spot's Fireball Cannons which can launch blue fireballs of 2000°F (~ 1093°C) at the range of 1.5 miles (~ 2.41 km). His vanadium-steel alloy armor protects him from the heat of the weapon's blasts.

Weaknesses

  • While having stable mentality, Defensor can suffer brief mental lapses if Groove's segment of the gestalt's mind wanders.
  • The force field, while having incredible durability, drains Defensor's energy with extreme pace, which forces him to use for no more than a minute.
  • Like most combiners, Defensor lacks mobility & agility, which are compesated by his strength & durability.
