Mudslinger is a minor character in Generation One of the Transformers franchise. He was based on a figure released in 1989.
Biography
Mudslinger was one of the first Autobot Micromasters. He first appeared in Issue #55 of the Marvel US comic when he arrived on Earth along with the rest of the Off Road Patrol and the Race Car Patrol in response to Optimus Prime's request for reinforcements. He immediately made it clear that he had only accepted the invitation because he hoped to see some action. Optimus Prime assigned the group to investigate monster sightings in the swamps around New York and strange storm activity in the same area, both of which he believed to be the work of the Decepticons.
Investigating the swamps, Mudslinger stumbled across Decepticon Pretenders Skullgrin and Iguanus threatening human journalist Cecilia Santiago. He attacked the pair, allowing Cecilia to escape. The rest of the Off Road Patrol soon joined in the fight and Mudslinger managed to destroy the Decepticons' storm-maker machine, although it was too late to stop the storm. Fortunately, the Race Car Patrol managed to stop the Decepticons channelling the power of the storm through the city and destroying it. Mudslinger and the rest of the Off Road Patrol joined them in the city, where Roadhandler declined Optimus Prime's offer to transport the group to safety, deciding they were better off with their new human friends.
Mudslinger was briefly seen in the following issue helping Roadhandler out with his plan to build better relations with the humans by fighting crime in New York, acting as a makeshift police transport for some criminals Tailspin had caught.
