Myson

“We will return this world to mortal hands... May that filthy race of beasts wither and die...”
—Myson

Myson is a minor antagonist in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and a secondary antagonist in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. He is a high ranking member of Those Who Slither in the Dark and is the only Agarthan who seems to be familiar with Epimenides.

Profile

Personality

Myson is loud and boisterous with his beliefs. Similar to other Agarthans, he views those both of Sothis to be beasts, mocks the with a twinge of humor at times, such as when he states they were "sniffed out, like the beasts [the empire] are!" and holds little to no remorse for the actions he takes against them. His dialogue at Enbarr suggests he believes his actions serve a greater good, but his demeanor indicates heavy sadism.

Similar to Solon, he is cold and calculating, conducts similar experiments and uses a lot of the same methods as Solon, using common thugs as a diversion. He also shows a lot of the same pragmatism as Solon, such as when he impersonated an imperial officer to manipulate Fleche into calling mercenaries to assassinate Claude to prevent the end of the war, and assisted in their battle even if it meant fighting alongside Sothis's vessel, showing he is able to set his gripes with "beasts" aside to serve a greater goal.

Interestingly, he seems to know more than anyone about Epimenides's power, but seems not to view him in a positive light. In Azure Gleam, he interrogates Shez about how they obtained his power, but refuses to elaborate when questioned further, claiming he has "no words for those who fraternize with beasts", and condemns Epimenides in death, showing a degree of secrecy about Epimenides and disdain for him.

Myson makes an appearance in Yuri and Constance's shared paralogue, where he performed several experiments in secret. Learning that a Relic had been acquired by Duke Gerth, he led a group of Agarthans to steal the Relic, and used the results of his experiments to forcefully control a group of thieves. One of these thieves attempted to attack Gerth, only to be killed and revived as a Demonic Beast. He was surprised by the appearance of Byleth and their students, considering them an "unexpected obstacle", but was greatly pleased by the results of his experiments.

Despite the assistance of the Demonic Beasts, Myson is defeated by Byleth and their students. He expresses disappointment in not being able to obtain the Hero's Relic, but is content enough with the results of his experiments and withdraws. The Relic that he had intended to steal were the Fetters of Dromi.

Myson, alongside other high-ranking members of Those Who Slither in the Dark, appear during the battle at Shambhala against the Resistance/Alliance army, where he may be slain or simply ignored. Unlike the rest of the named soldiers, Myson's death will not affect the battle in any way.

Myson appears in the final battle against the Imperial and Kingdom forces at the Enbarr palace. Prior to the battle, Ingrid (or Gilbert if Ingrid was not deployed) notices that several of the Imperial mages weren't wearing their typical uniforms. If Myson is killed, the remaining agents will retreat from the palace, unwilling to sacrifice their goal attempting to defend Edelgard.

Warriors: Three Hopes

Azure Gleam

Myson acts as the secondary antagonist in part 2 of Azure Gleam. (To be continued)

Scarlet blaze

Golden Wildfire

Myson first appears after the defeat of Randolph's army, disguised as a surviving imperial general. He claims to be the sole survivor of Catherine's assault at Ailell, delivering Randolph's remains. There, he states that The Federation army used Randolph's forces as decoys and attempts to persuade Fleche to pursue revenge against Claude and the federation army. She quickly agrees, emptying her family's vaults to offer a very large lumpsum to Skilled mercenaries for them to kill Claude. The disguised Myson then stops masking his voice and remarks how easy Fleche was to convince.

Later, Myson, now back in his warlock robes, engages in the battle, stating that assisting Fleche may be his best chance to eliminate Claude, and, if the player engages Byleth, will also comment on how vexing it is to have to fight alongside Sothis's vessel.

He is fought again in an auxiliary map in Western Burgundy Territory, where he occupies a base, but he is not killed. His ultimate fate in this route is unknown.
